What a f***ing season man, couldn't have been scripted any better.

I literally cannot wait for this Netflix shizzle. Oh my.

I hope we get it on Netflix in Canada too, our Netflix over here is always a poor relation.

It’s a Netflix original, it will be worldwide.

This particular production is produced for Netflix, so it will be worldwide. But something being a "Netflix Original" does not equal it being produced for Netflix, and thus doesn't mean it'll be available worldwide.

Have they got a name for this yet?

I'm going for the Roker Horror Picture Show?

Any other suggestions?

What's the story with some fans not realising that 96th minute equaliser was disallowed? Is that what happened?

Not heard that one, bit I heard that many of them never realised that they were down. Some of them got home before realising. Obviously the Burton vs Bolton fixture gives the league a misleading look.

I imagine plenty of their fans still haven’t cottoned on if they haven’t checked the (social) media. I believe you on here were (one of) the first to realise it, way before many on RTG and the mainstream media did. What a way to go down, just everything about it - had Spielberg directed it he would have been derided for it, and rightly so. :mackems:

Predicting a mid-table finish for them next season. 10th.

7th, just missing on the play offs.

Literally anything's possible like, so many things that can happen between now and the start of the League One (just burst out laughing) season.

Aye. I had been checking the fixtures for other teams, Bolton mainly and had been keeping up to date with the with the live league table. I did the calculations as Burton got the winner and realised that they were gone before SSN said anything, then they got the equaliser and the league table changed but never changed back when it was ruled out. So I was calculating it all over again before I eventually posted that they were down. Had I not been looking at the fixtures earlier on in order to determine what other teams would have to do to send them down then I’d likely have been like everyone else and not realised for half an hour.

I don’t think Sunderland themselves even knew until about half 5.

So much fun this season...

From the Celtic drubbing in pre-season, to the false promising start over the first month, to the "We've got Simon Grayson" song, to Waghorn & McCarthy beating them 5-2, Meyler denying them at Hull, Daryl Murphy's late winner, throwing a 3-1 lead at Brentford, Sammy Ameobi scoring & Grayson's sacking, their top scorer saying "fuck that" and buggering off to a promotion challenge in January, Jack Rodwell and his £60k a week, the faint hope in recent weeks even though they were still miles adrift, to Darren Bent finally seeing them off.

Lovely old job.

The Steele v Ipswich dive is seared on to my brain like, absolutely hilarious.

I remain baffled as to why Chris Coleman thought that Sunderland was a good career choice

Because he's thick as pigshit. He's a League 1 manager anyway so they might as well stick with him.

Took me a good half hour to realise they were officially down until I checked who Bolton played next. This is just fantastic

Huge payrise apparently, career suicide for the Sunderland dollar

I was at a BBQ this afternoon and loads of the blokes  kept asking for updates. Even went as far as reading out RTG match thread posts as Bent scored....then the winner....then the realisation they were down. Thank you RTG for adding to a lovely day.
