Guest
Aren’t they signing Will Grigg? He’ll score goals.
BergenMagpie
I see Maja has scored 15 of sunderlands 48 goals this season. Didnt think he had such a high percentage Aren’t they signing Will Grigg? He’ll score goals. Seems like he picked up an ankle injury this weekend
geordiedean
I can see this fucking their season up big time. Teams are queuing up behind them and they could easily end up 6th or 7th if not careful
loki679
£3.5m is good money for that division, like. Reckon a lot of the squads down there wouldn't cost that much.
samptime29
"He'll never play for a club as big as Sunderland" They're uber triggered. This is bad news for them like, can't see Automatic Promotion without Maja.
Shearergol
They’re shit. Had loads of the ball today but scunny had all the best chances. Seems to be a reoccurring theme for them. You go? Yep, decent game tbh. Expected much more from them. They just don’t create anything.

Wonder if Super Jackie Ross isn't used to playing with the handbrake off.
Anderson
Seeing a lot of tweets suggesting he's committing career suicide by moving from Sunderland to Bordeaux. Mentalists.

toontownman
Shame, we were apparently interested. That would have been priceless. It's a blow on the outside but depends what they reinvest this window. Still think they will ease up. Just too much shit in that division even with themselves. Benwell Lad
When they eventually receive the full fee it should cover most of Cattermole's salary for another season. See they're all excited about beating a Man City schoolboy XI last night. #ourfans #everybodyscupfinal

Playing Accrington, Walsall etc against playing PSG, Lyon, Marseille While true, he won't be anywhere near the first team at Bordeaux. Why not? I'd use the logic that he's nowhere near as good as Adam Armstrong and arguably no better than Ivan Toney and neither of them would.

Dokko
£3.5m is 55% of their club value so decent in that respect.

Guest
If he does well at Bordeaux he’ll end up at amid-table Premier League club within 2-3 years. Great move for him. Even if they send him to a Ligue 2 team on loan for a year it’d be better than staying in League One or a struggling Championship team.
M4
Bordeaux's attacking options are pretty terrible at the moment. Won't walk into the team obviously, but could get very decent minutes to prove himself.
Disco
The world outside Sunderland is all scary and different though, I hear in France they don’t even have Carling or Listen to New Monkey. As for the hero thing? Laughable, he’s been racially abused this season despite being their top scorer and he’s regularly whinged at for only scoring goals and not being a hard case. Quick, paint him as greedy as he’s not a real English like us mackems. Definitely not that Bordeaux played three times as many games in Europe this season alone than real English Sunderland have in their history, are in a cup SF, play in a real league and France has a history of producing and enhancing young players into world class players.
