The College Dropout
Turn of phrase. Really like him and his style of player. Haven’t had a player like this in some time. Made Burnley’s midfielders look flat footed.
DJ_NUFC
I'd be remiss if I didn't say he was the... Ki to our play.

Dave
really want to see him and Shelvey play together No need, Diame is back doing well in his destroyer role.
Infinitely Content
Towards the end of the game when Burnley were lumping it forward with Hart, I loved how Ki always regained control of the ball for us and distributed it simply and into space. Massive player for us with his composure and technical class.
TRon
Rolls Royce in the midfield engine.
Disco
Centre midfielders both had nearly 90% pass accuracy tonight. Very rare for us.

Aye we’ve benefitted from two mobile and dynamic midfielders. We look to keep the ball much more in midfield. Shelvey is much more direct.

Jimburst
Probably MOTM for me tonight. Was so composed for the whole 90 minutes.

David Edgar
This guy has a handful of world class attributes. Like, if he was a yard faster or a bit tougher, he could be playing for a top half side.
xLiaaamx
Gotta say, I want him and Shelvey together. But I'm the type of fool who wants Ki, Lejuene, Schar and Shelvey all on the pitch purely because "they're the best on the ball" without thinking about the consequences really

But I'm the type of fool who wants Ki, Lejuene, Schar and Shelvey all on the pitch purely because "they're the best on the ball" without thinking about the consequences really Even when Diame is playing shit, his closing down of opposition players is pretty crucial to our play. It would be nice if he was a better footballer but they cost a lot more than he did.
CPL
Agreed MOTM. Kept it simple and always kept the ball and was available for the ball at all times.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Egg on face now. He was properly fucking gash against Chelsea like but he's turning it round.

ToonArmy1892
Man of the match for me. Brings a much needed calmness on the ball, which can then spread to other players.
mrmojorisin75
remarkable turnaround from his first couple of appearances like amazing what a bit of fitness, form and confidence can do for a player...imo he's a better fit for the side when playing like this, not saying he's a better player than shelvey or anything just that the way he moves it fast and short makes players move into space for him and we get between the lines better than when shelvey is playing, plus he's got a nice long pass in him when required as well looking like another rafa masterstroke if he keeps this up
adamjk007
Did he lose the ball once lastnight? immense imo.
