Miguel Almirón - To Travel to Atlanta United Prior to $12M Move (Romano)

Recommended Posts

Love wor Miggy and I'll be gutted to see him go but ultimately this team has outgrown him now. Never understood the ire against him, it's not his fault he's not as good as we want him to be, he always gave his all, every game and with a huge smile on his face.

He will be fondly remembered for that purple patch that got us to the Champions League and the first goal, in the first game back against PSG, that was special and he deserved it.

Thanks for everything Miggy!

Miggy definitely stands out as one of the players who always gave it his all for the club. A world apart from the work shy money grabbing wastrels we've had stealing a living off NUFC over the decades

His technical limitations were there for all to see, but his attitude and application could never be in doubt

Hope he enjoys life in the U,S of Stateside

Adios amigo

I'm glad he's leaving now, and glad he's leaving on good terms with the fans. Southampton was a great send off for him.

I'll remember him for that PSG goal, the purple patch that helped get us CL football, beating the mackems, and some outrageous goals over the years.

adios Miguel!

I thought we paid more then 21m for him, shocked looking that up thought it was mid 40s

Suppose you might be getting him and Big Joe mixed up. The two main transfers that have had more than a little talk around Ashley and the club inflating the true price to appease fans with a 'record' signing.

We'll look back on him the same way we look back on the likes of Wayne Routledge. Good for the time they were signed, but we quickly outgrew them.

Wayne Routledge went on to have over 250 appearances for Swansea, mostly in the premier league, and played and assisted in their 2013 League Cup victory.

We were mostly dogshit during this same period.

remeber miggy just missing a chance at leazes end and getting a load of stick.

a young kid - think one of the ball boys - decided he was going to stick up for him and encourage him and gave him a really supportive shout/clap.

got invited to the training ground to meet him after that.
