I'd give my left arm to see that Colgate-toothed Kraut and his team of cheating cunts finish 2nd to City like.

 he's actually the only thing that comes remotely close to Me liking something connected with Liverpool.

Heavy raging.

He's a cunt, and by association, you are too if you like him.

Newcastle fan was also thrown out for throwing his burger wrapper at a Liverpool fan while he was being escorted out, which is the lamest way to be ejected ever

Was this in the Strawberry Corner? Pretty sure I saw a bottle thrown at the first LFC supporter kicked out over there

As much as I have way more friends who are Liverpool supporters and 0 Friends who support City; I really don’t care. I don’t like teams with fans who complain about refs like these lot did versus Barca and their players play act all season long and do that up here. I don’t like Klopp trying to attempt to discuss our tactics and be completely wrong.

But sitting here today I’d rather city win the title over Liverpool so they can cry some more.

They have been quite warm towards us on this thread https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=282654.13280 but the friendship appears to be over after today. Rafa is too good for us now apparently.

 A bit RTG there isn't it "raising our game for them" when we beat City and have been on this run of form.

Plus I could be wrong but wasn't Salah applauded off?

Whole stadium clapped Salah off

What they crying about man, they won the game

I'll now take extra pleasure in watching Messi put them to the sword in their own back yard next week.

Vile.

There's no great conspiracy. If you're a ref and you're guessing, are you gonna give it against Liverpool, ruin their title bid and risk your name all over the papers if you're wrong? Or are you gonna give it against the team in 14th? It's obvious.

If that's given at the other end and we won 3-2, it'd be all over the press today. Media would hang the ref/linesman out to dry. It's the main talking point of the game and I can't find any mention of it anywhere on the BBC. It's a shocking decision that directly led to the winner and has a huge impact on the title race. Phil McNulty ("Chief BBC Sports Writer") is from Liverpool so should we be surprised? Instead he's written gushing praise gloating about Liverpool and put a pic of that mackem twat celebrating. No credit given to us who had 7 shots on target to 4, hit the woodwork, denied a red card and they've scored the winner off a dive.

I'd also add that you'll struggle to find a football fan who doesn't care whether City or Liverpool win the title. But who cares if we finish 13th or 15th? No one. If Liverpool had drawn 2-2 and City win, the title race would be over before the final day and no one involved in the media or the Prem would want that.

VAR will add more accountability but the linesman had as good a view as any replay and has got it completely wrong. Yet the media aren't arsed and VAR won't change that.

Is the two match ban for deliberately decisive the ref limited to penalties and reds?

It’s frustrating that nothing is done to improve the game is this area.  Var is looking to solve some of the bad big decisions during the match which is fair enough.  But the constant cheating, diving, deception that goes on in every game has just become accepted.  There are a few things we could try:

- retrospective analyse every match.  Increasing punishments for players and even teams for cheating.

- a non blocking var system where an official (or two) could analyse the game real time and notify the ref to book / send off a player.  For this it’s not perfect as you would not necessary reverse a decision in the match but at least there would be some punishment.  Maybe it could be something like for that dive if it spotted and lead to nothing yellow if it was spotted and lead to goal or denying a goal red, if it lead to winning match more significant ban.

Maybe those options are crap and there are better ones but at the moment it is just accepted that cheating to win is ok.  Not doing anything means we are good with that.  I could not explain to my daughter last night why a bigger deal was not being made about the cheating, why as adults it’s ok when we teach our kids to play fair!

Last night is the trigger for the rant but for me it’s bigger than that, it just makes the entire game less appealing.  I’d love it if football was played with the same passion but we managed to get a game to be proud of.  One where their was a spirit of the game.

Great post ohmelads. All entirely predictable as well. Ours is the lot of the non-Top 6 fan. The League straight out said a few years back that refs giving red cards to Rooney etc. was "bad for the brand". Liverpoool have scored vital goals off dives against us in both games this season. It barely registers as a talking point. We're only there to make up the numbers.

I think they'll beat us, possibly with a penno off a dive or other refereeing gift like a soft red.

In our case, the biggest problem is Ashley running us on a shoestring, but we could have peak-era Ashley Cole at left back and it would still be given as a foul. That's our role in the big scheme of things.

This I pointed out to a copper at half time...he just said there was too many of them.felt a bit sorry(sort of) for the ones  being dragged out of the Leazes end when these t***s were left alone ..why?

Money/corporate supporters - pure and simple. Different rules!

Give over!

They weren’t treat differently because of money. They were treat differently because there was about 300 in a block. What exactly are the police to do about that?

Shocking ‘marking’ for their goals, where the hell did our cbs go?

Lascelles fell over with the first goal, was drawn out to the wing for the second, and was beaten in the air comfortably for the third. I was never a defender myself, so maybe I'm being a bit harsh on him, but he still looks way short of England class to me. He has his good moments, but his positioning and decision-making often looks suspect.

What ever happened to that diving panel that Danny Murphy is a member of? From a quick google search, it seems like only two players were ever punished, one of them an Everton player.

Why is everyone getting so worked up about the opposition fans in the home end? Seems bizzare to me how precious people get about it all.

Dont think it's the fact that they were in the home end, it's the way they were behaving

Kind of agree, but when the gob off giving it the big one in front of a pissed up crowd it's a recipe for trouble.Plus it's not allowed and by the rules of the club you will be ejected.

I've no big problem with it and had a few near me, in fact loads, some sat quiet but after that 3rd went in they pushed it a bit too far and some were asking for a slap.FWIW I saw no punches thrown.
