Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

Maybe he was rushed back. Maybe he shouldn’t have gone out for the second half. Maybe a torn tendon is hard to spot at half time. Ironically it was probably Joe himself that said he wanted to go out and see how it felt, and try telling Joelinton not to come out for the second when 1-0 up against your local rivals.

He's been playing with injuries a lot this season and rushed back early every time he's been out, so not surprised if this is it for him for this season.

Remember how average he was start of the season when he clearly wasn't 100%, at the expense of a fit Anderson who came back to pre-season as the fittest player in the squad and had a great pre-season?

Can't really blame anyone other than Howe (no that does not mean I want him out before the white knights come calling). He needs to learn to trust and use his squad more (and early) next season.

Really got to question our physios and medical team. If he’s out injured for the rest of the season, who the hell said he was ok to come out for the second half against the mackems?!?

It’s up there with Botman’s injury that wasn’t picked up.

Not disputing your point but possibly hard one to diagnose in an away dressing room with limited time. He maybe wanted to try and run whatever he was feeling off. He literally only played a minute and possibly didn’t even touch the ball before they removed him.

He's found a Very dramatic way of headlining "contract negotiations are ongoing".

I hate to say it, but I don't think Bruce was far wrong about him, loves stirring the shit.

100% we all got behind Hope because he was so anti Bruce, but he's absolutely woeful and knows bad news get more clicks.

I despise all of the North East journos.

Hope was on the TF podcast this week and came across quite

rationally. Good critical assessment of the club’s summer business and very positive about Howe. I do think at times the cunty headline writers at the Daily Heil don’t help. We’ve seen with others that they often do the headline and the writer does the small print.

On Big Jo, if there is a standoff with little chance of bridging the gap the club can’t risk losing him for nowt. £40m move to Saudi incoming?

Probably the worst article I’ve seen linked on this forum and I’ve not even clicked on it. “May have played his last game for us” Fuck off man, that’s gutter journalism

Yep, pure sensationalist guff. They're negotiating a new contract and haven't resolved it yet, those are the only facts.
