I've been nursing an iliopsoas strain for 5 or 6 weeks and it's hard to discern as it just feels off but you can't pinpoint the pain, even with stretches. It wasn't until week 6 that the pain moved to a proper groin strain as nerve guarding relaxed.

What I'm trying to say is its not as cut and dry as some might think and not as simple as blaming the coaching setup for over-playing him.

Going forward Joelinton has to be more of a situational player that starts games where we need more bite and resilience. Don't think he can be looked at as a first teamer anymore as his body just won't hold up.

It's probably just as simple as dropping him from games where the opponent sits in a low block, he's not much use when we're looking for creativity.

This is obvious, stupidity to start him against Wolves and PSV with Villa and PSG coming up

Agree. But the way we play, he’s key and Howe knows it. Unless we evolve our style, he’s still someone Howe will always pivot back too.

Didn't realise months was an option.

Weeks usually means months when Howe talks about injuries

Joe's been absolutely class recently, but we can't go on relying on him, misses far too many games. Hopefully this means that Ramsey and Willock start to get some good game time.

Injection :D So ending in tears. Get a couple of games at most then he's out for the season. Big gamble for Joe as that could be his world cup hopes over.

you've got to be the most miserable bloke on earth

We could do with an injury free run from him,he was just starting to beast it again but I suppose that's the problem

Feels like he's missed about half of our games since the Sunderland FA Cup match.

definitely seems to pick up a lot more than he used to not sure if that's age, playing so much, his style of play or that he never seems to get anything operated on to "permanently fix"
