Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

There's a player in there but I'm really struggling with him at the moment.

Looking more and more like his level is a lower half premier League team.

He's in a bit of a rut at the moment, but he's earned the right to try and turn it around. He's saved our arsed on numerous occasions.

He's a paid professional - if he's not fitting the system then it's time to go.

Waste of a shirt, sell the cunt. Whinges when the ball doesn’t get to his feet/space or when someone dares challenges him. Downs tools. Absolute dross the last few months!

His antics and gesticulating when wanting a decision instead of getting back in formation like the well drilled side Eddie is creating, is just part of his frustrating antics. Let’s not talk about blind alley runs, and doesn’t know when to pass or which pass to make. Howe may keep him for next season but unless he develops (not sure he can, as he prefers let’s play type of football) he’ll be gone and we’ll have better, he’s a transitional part of the rise of Newcastle for now!

I think it's pretty clear he can't play as a no 9. We looked all over the place with him up front.

His best moment was when Wood came on and he set him away, but aside from that he had a bad one today, losing the ball all over the place.

Albeit against one of the best teams in Europe, where nobody did well.

Looked even worse when he got switched out to the left hand side.

Thought Matip was absolutely class btw, it wasn't just ASM that he had under control, it was anyone up against him. Don't think there's that much to be critical of with our players aside from being offside too often.

He’s class, but if you get in his face and press him he can be a liability, he brings the ball out so well for them.

Running out of patience with him, yes we were playing against one of the best sides in the world, but his inability to do the basics is maddening. His first touches today in critical positions were shocking.

There’s very few teams where he’d be ascribed so much importance to ultimately produce so little.
