Are you’ll listening premier league?

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/roma-chiefs-make-contact-saudi-22029593

Daily star I know but it highlights a point a few have made regarding why the premier league would want to approve for financial reasons.

Out of all the articles that’s been written, this is the most laughable and most obviously clickbait of them all.

Ahhh.... the old "if you dont want me I'll find someone else" trick

Yeah pretty much. It’s nice that there are starting to be articles like this though.  They’re about as interesting as the constant bashing ones but at least they bring a bit of balance.

I’m not going to be on the side defending a fucking daily star article for those incapable of understanding why I posted that. To be explicitly clear I’m posting this to highlight that some of the reasons that have been posted here as to why the premier league may approve are being reported.

BeoutQ is not simply a channel. Although the service as a set top box is not operational since last September and apparently the ArabSat satellites have stopped rebroadcasting beIN channels, BeoutQ has evolved into a package-based platform, which relies on "3rd-party" apps for it's content - IPTV, torrent streaming etc. Similar to Kodi, except it's based on Android and is not open source.

Unfortunately, like the Khashoggi murder, the evidence of direct involvement of Senior officials is overwhelming. There's no doubt that beoutQ is (was) indeed a huge-scale piracy service, backed and most likely initiated and funded by members of the Saudi Royal Family.

https://piracymonitor.org/the-impact-of-beoutq-piracy-on-bein-media/

That's a fairly recent article on beoutq. It includes other reference stories on the service and a claim that it was stopped in preparation for the bid to buy us.

Here's the site, made by the beIN f***ers to push their side of the story (pretty convincingly): https://beoutq.tv/

And that's the technical investigation that FIFA, UEFA, the PL, Serie A, La Liga etc ordered as part of the court case in France - which btw has confirmed that the stolen BeIN content was transmitted through Arabsat satellites:

And how is tied to the PIF which is a separate legal entity.  Unless there is a proven link, not heresay but actual legal proof that the PIF is part of the piracy, then what has that got to do with the takeover of NUFC?

And is there actual physical evidence for this? Or is it, again, purely opinionated articles based on what someone thinks is likely or not? If there was any hard, proven evidence it would surely have resulted in a conviction, either with the French case or elsewhere? It seems to be just a lot of people spouting what they 'think' might have happened so far, I've not seen anything solid.

I'm all in on Staveley, Reuben Brothers and PIF now so whoever they takeover is my club.  Totti is an icon of mine anyway.

The legal proof can only be collected by Saudi authorities so that might explain why there's a lack of it.

I guess the complexities arise because PIF is not just some company. It is by definition state-owned, just like the Saudi National Bank for example - a sovereign wealth fund chaired by the crown prince of an absolute monarchy that practices Sharia Law. This combination opens up various possibilities for influence of power. For example, MBS's dad - King Salman - can order to kill the Sheff U owner if he feels like it and that would not be against Saudi law.

As with every other issue with Saudi Arabia, it's not really a question of what can be proven, it's how determined people are to say no to their money. Which is why, I'm ultimately optimistic that it will go through..

Southamptons took so long because he tried to buy it through his company at first, who weren't viewed as financially secure enough. So he then bought it as a private individual.

Gao had also been involved in 2 corruption cases prior to his takeover

Might be Giggs, but I enjoyed this.

Can’t wait for it to become official.

Think Maguire summarises pretty well, without really offering anything new. You can’t help but feel positive after listening IMO.

Convenient then for anyone who wants to throw aspersions, if all they have to do is say something happened rather than prove it.

Feel a bit calmer after listening to that. The only caveat I would add is that if the rumours of this last minute document are true then nobody knows what is in it.

For the last couple of months, whenever I have read the latest posts on this thread and then gone back to the main 'list of threads' page, there has ALWAYS been a new posting made in the time it took me to do that, always.

Today (07.45 on 15th May 2020) is the first time that has not happened, in all that time, and also (when I look for the last post made) it is actually from OVER SEVEN HOURS AGO.

It feels like people may have just given up . . . this has just "gone on for too long"?
