Callum Wilson set to be out for around 8 weeks with new hamstring injury (Howe)

Don't necessarily disagree that we should get rid but there's no fresh news either way about his injury. Howe's said nowt different about his prospects; he hopes to have him available before the end of the season.

Seems an ideal squad member next season.

Buy a top quality first choice striker and let Wilson back him up and be an option off the bench when we're chasing a goal.

He'll still get plenty of game time and be an important part of the squad without being expected to start every game, should hopefully help keep him fit.

Such a shame he's so injury-prone. He's a great player and seems like a great pro and person too.

Cold hard fact is we will never be able to rely on his availability and that means we need to find an alternative or replacement.

It's obvious we can't rely on him, so in the summer we need to go out and sign 2 strikers. I wouldn't be opposed to keeping him, but we can't have him as our main goal threat as he's just too injury prone.

Just can't rely on him unfortunately. His injury record is a massive liability and even as a squad player he is a big risk. We can't leave ourselves in a similar predicament to the last two seasons, when he is unavailable for large periods of the season.

They described it as him having a setback on Sky Sports news, making a comeback this season unlikely, don't know if they got the wrong end of the stick, but that does seem like fresh news if it's true.

Woods still trying to beat the mannequins but he's pressing them well though.

They were going to put Darlow in goal but the mannequin’s more challenging.

Would love to see Bruno feeding Wilson, especially while ASM is double marked. Teams would be all over the shop at times. Throw in next season a right sided attacker as dangerous and fast as ASM, we would be giving headaches to a lot of defences.

We are very slow and sterile in attack. ASM can't produce magic resulting in a goal every game on his own, especially now teams prepare for him. Wilson and a right forward would really open up our attack, especially if the players can keep ip with ASM carrying the ball.

If we could keep him fit we wouldn't even need to replace him don't think there's many better strikers outside the top 4 than him tbh. Would love it if he could get a full season in.

We all know that he can’t stay fit though, think he’s had a major injury most seasons in his career.
