De Laurentiis absolutely despises the FIGC. To be honest the level of distrust and dislike the Italian clubs have of their own sporting authorities (justified, tbf) I'd be surprised if more of the clubs haven't tried to break ranks as a fuck you. Lazarus
Who holds the player registrations by the way? Is it the FA? Premier league? Can they refuse to release them so the players cant be registered elsewhere? Edited April 20, 2021 by Lazarus

Baseball on the other hand is massively fucked up. About 20 years back they passed an incredible barrier where a single player for the Yankees was earning more per year than all the players at an entire club. Agreed. I am an American and I love the pyramid (promotion and relegation). Our sports culture would be much richer if we had it.

Abacus
Ironic that the owners of all 6 of these clubs are deemed 'fit and proper' despite trying to fundamentally destroy the league, and the integrity of the sport as a whole.

It's a gambit for survival. Which is entirely of their own making. They could have worked together with the rest of the football pyramid to bring players wages, transfer fees and agents under control, which they have driven the spilling rise of, but that would have reduced their advantage and opened up the door for other clubs to compete more with them. Well all it needs is just 1 club to retreat and then they can be lobbied to vote or abstain to take action against the other 5 clubs. Guest reefatoon
Have to say, I haven't enjoyed football for a long time, find it boring as fuck, so I am quite enjoying watching this all fuck itself up the arse. At last we have a bit of entertainment for a change.

Abacus
And on the plus side, if they are all thrown out of the league with immediate effect, that makes our run in look much more bearable.
