If Arsenal suddenly go up for sale after this, does that make them a much more attractive prospect than us? A London club, better squad, better setup... hmmm

The pace at which it's unfolding makes me wonder if the PL and La Liga have threatened their "founding" clubs that decision making was already in progress for them to be booted out of their respective leagues. Such an amazing volte face can only be the result of a realistic chance of armmagedon for those involved.

would bet more on potential sponsors and media partners they hoped to fleece for billions might have all been vanishing into the ether with the reaction to this

I can’t see it. PIF have reportedly been priced out of moves to buy Man Utd, Liverpool, and Spurs in the past. I can’t see them and Arsenal being any less then they were back then, and they all have a significant debt attached to them as well.

Remember it was reported that PIF were interested in buying is for £300m, and spending another £300m to turn us into a £2bn-£3bn club in the long run. They don’t want to spend £2bn-£3bn to have a club that’s not worth much more.
