The obvious solution is to get rid of Ole and get a manager that's capable of coaching his players, that has an understanding of tactics, that has an identity and can get players to buy into that.

However they won't get rid of him, at least not yet, they've had plenty of opportunity to do that before and not taken it. Getting schooled of City isn't a shock, so why would this be the final straw?

He'll probably get a result against Watford and Chelsea, his job secure but then mess up again, then rinse and repeat.

What I will say is that he has done a good job overall, when you consider the situation the team were in. He has assembled a good squad, strengthening many areas but the improvements they made were due to his man management and individuals stepping up but that only gets you so far. Being mates with the players, especially after Mourinho was a prick to them works for a while but to compete at the top you need more about you, he doesn't have that and never will.

Long may it continue cos I don't like Man-U because a good manager with a 1-2 additions can get this squad competing.

When you're getting brutally owned by Michael Fucking Owen maybe it's time to have a rethink

I thought Paul Scholes was going to go down on his toenails.

His hold up play and all round game is great

I’ve rated him since I saw him a few times at England youth level, Rafa wanted him in the Championship on loan with a view to buy, I think we could have had him, Kennedy and RLC for 60m combined, obviously Kennedy didn’t turn out well for us, but TA and RLC would have been a snip at 20m a pop each.

Aye, would have been incredible deals for us. TA has it all imo, strong, mobile, clever runner, obviously a good mentality if he's gone to paly abroad. Rate him very highly

Aye, we need more of our younger talent moving abroad to play, he could have easily taken a softer easier option of say signing for Villa or Everton.

Nice of the commentator on the Arsenal v Watford game, just after a period of reflection and sombre silence to remember those who died in war, to seemlessly segway into mentioning the average lifespan... of a Watford manager under their current ownership.

Obviously the same sort of sacrifice.
