Newcastle United v Leicester City - 3/1/2021 - 2:15pm (Live on Sky Sports)

Baffled how Sean is playing. He’s been that bad lately I’d rather have Hendrick in the middle.

Murphy getting dropped is dumb too

Why?

He’s a genuine direct wide player that seems to offer balance to us and he’s improving a lot. He can also take a decent free kick. While we don’t have ASM and Fraser I don’t get why he isn’t a shoe in for that wide spot.

Fair enough.

So he's back to consistently playing "Rafa's formation" again because he can't come up with anything himself huh, despite constantly whinging abut it previously. Clown.

Be back to 442 after a couple of defeats. Then back again.

We will miss Hayden badly.

Don't think it will be too bad as we will be defending primarily and we have some pace up front. The personnel is fine, just depends on how they are deployed. If we just sit back we'll get nothing. If we are prepared to get players supporting the front three when we are in possession we have more than enough to get a result.

Rafa's defenders are superb tbh, Schar, Fernandez and Clark would always inspire confidence in defence.

Any pace isn't even made use of because how deep we are usually, and how poorly we transition. We never win the ball back high to quickly spring into attack. We're not effective in breaking any opposition closing us down when deep. Whenever we do have the ball players are just so stationary and spread out. Compared to Leeds it's like a different sport we're playing.

All we can do with the ball is pass it along the before shelling into Wilson or Joelinton. Their not target men, and we don't even win any second, third balls. It's worse than anything Pardew, Carver ever threw up.

A handful of times a game we'll break into space, then we're relying on quality that isn't there to create anything.
