Elliot Anderson: joins Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal with 5 year contract (Official)

You really cannot say that until he's performed in comparative leagues (or you're talking to one of the coaches/players). Murphy and Almiron are actually very good footballers, they're just not Premiership level. Anderson looks promising but it's hard to say where he's at right now.

It would be great if he can stay and make 30 starts next year but we have no real frame of reference to tell us that he would be even capable of doing that in the Championship.

Probably suggests our transfer expectations have been diminished.

I think it's just clear he's already better than some of our squad players like Murphy and maybe even Almiron and Fraser.

He's going up directly against Willock for game time imo,a lot of his best moments last season were from the left but he did pop up on the right on occasion and looked dangerous there, too. Super excited to see what he can do at this level

We'd be mad to let him go on loan now anyway.

Reassess near the end of the window and if we've strengthened substantially let him go out on loan

Hardly he mad to let a 19 year old with only half a season of league 2 football under his belt go out on loan.

Edwards straight in with the negative twist on the story. It’s possible he’s impressed in training rather than it being transfer related. If the decision has been made so far away from the window ending it suggests that to me. Loans often don’t happen until the end.

To be fair he smashed league 2, got us promoted in style. In 21 games he had a goal or assist every other game.

This boy is special, looking forward to see how he performs this season, convinced this lad has a career at the top level on his doorstep at 19.

He has no fear, very strong on the ball. Easy from a Rovers perspective to see why Eddie Howe has opted to have him in the squad.
