Is all you lot do whine? I bet if we ever win the Champions League there will be people on here moaning that it's unlikely we’ll do that every year so was basically pointless.

I don’t know about the lads but me, yea a lot. Mostly because I managed 300 seasons before I was 14, I have have high standards for Newcastle. Back in my day it was a quadruple every season, every year I signed a Beardsley or a Shearer for a few mil. Those were the days. Hard for Eddie and the lads to live up to those times. Also everyone in my team was from Newcastle. Even Messi it turns out was a Geordie, in the real world. I’m just jaded with the matrix I spose. Gunna throw on some Andrew Tate, lift my spirits.

On the subject…what struck me about Anderson is, here, when he came in at first he tried to fit in to the midfield. As time went on he started playing more as we see now at Forest. Forest had a plan for him clearly. This is my concern with Miley. I don’t know if he has the mentality to think, I can improve this midfield with my strengths, rather than ‘I can be in this midfield and function’. I’d have liked more midfielders so we could loan him out. Think he needs the pressure of going to a lesser team and being the man, or, not being able to. Then we reassess, maybe his level is cover.

Impressive for England.

So we effectively paid Forrest £5M for a pot of Greek yoghurt, and they got Andresson. That deal looks worse and worse every time you see it now.

Still think he needed to play, and it was hard to see (at the time) him getting loads of game time here.  Hopefully see him back here in a season or two..

This has to be counted as another fail of bald Mitchell, he got months to figure out how to comply with PSR rule and waited until the very last minutes with two desperate sale

Mitchell wasn't in position when this deal was done. It was Mandy.

He’ll be coming home next summer, near confident on it.

We need HG, he’s effectively now good enough as a starting CM and it could enable us to loan Miley out for 12 months  and be no worse off on the HG quota.

He won’t enjoy playing under Ange IMO. So hopefully we start the ground work on him (if not already).

By output do you mean goals and assists? Because he plays as a 6, so that's not really where we should be judging him.

Everything, goals and assists are a component as are a myrid of other metrics.

Would you pay 60m for him?

Moises Caicedo and Ryan Gravenberch were generally considered the best DMs in the league last season. Caicedo got 1 goal and 4 assists, Gravenberch got 0 goals and 4 assists. Anderson got 2 goals and 6 assists.

Yes, I would pay 60m for him.

Maybe I have sunk cost because we sold him and get no psr benefit in buying him back

Just wouldn't pay 60m for him especially as I don't think he has the positional awareness to play as a 6 without another beside him.

His pass completion at Forest is a concern I'd say, but that's probably due to their style of play. In general he seems to be made for that role, and is still developing all the time.

He's also probably more valuable to us than anyone else, as he'd count as a club developed player for europe purposes.

The passing thing is definitely Forest style of play.

All of our players are similar btw,

If Howe wants to gradually shift back to a 4-2-3-1 type of set up, which I believe he often played at Bournemouth.  Then Anderson coming back at some point in the near future would be great.

I would never have him down as playing as the sole DM like we have in our current setup.  I don't think his skillset is anything like Bruno's and despite being mobile, he doesn't have the pure athleticism Tonali possesses.

I agree with @r0cafella on that part.

The PSR masterplan was to sell Bruno to the likes of Man City. We're lucky it failed.

We have a Quandary with Anderson imo. I like him a lot and think he's a good player hit his output isn't that of a 60m player.

DIdn't Forest have the lowest possession of any team in the league? Its an extreme way of playing that it makes stats comparisons with players from higher possession teams unfair. Forest's style is now likely to get even more extreme with Angeball.

Not worth 60m

If he keeps doing what hes doing, one of the cartel will be in for him at 100m.

I could see Man Utd in for him.

Another to add to the Geordie Traitor ranks along with Carrick, Charlton, Robson and the Baconator.
