Forest would demand a price of between £100-£120m to even consider selling Anderson, according to The Chronicle.

He's not coming home... 🤣

Spanish press linking him with Real Madrid (!)

I think G/A as a metric is really dumb for most footballers tbh. There are some exceptions obviously, but what really matters is your impact and how the team functions and performs as a result of your performance.

How many goals is the team scoring and creating is obviously important but most of the individual importance of it is really not that relevant.

Tbf if RM signed every player the Spanish press linked them with, their squad would dwarf that of Chelsea's... 🤣

The reason I pulled this up was because people were using Andersons g/a numbers at Forest against him. My point is that even if you are going to focus on that, those numbers can easily go up at a better club. Anderson has a better g/a output than Rice had at West Ham. Just about noone complains about Rices g/a output now.

They can just as easily go down at a better club.

See Isak for more info... 😄

Oh I know that but I noticed while typing the discussion had moved past it so decided to quote the closest message about it :mou:

I agree with you btw.

He's not going anywhere at that price. He will be going for around £60m when they go down this year.

Anderson for £80m-£100m or Pacqueta for £60m?

Its all age related but LP is a much more accomplished player than EA just now which puts the price into perspective a little

Wouldn't touch either at those prices.

Both of those would be out of our price range IMO. I’d say Anderson, but realistically it’s neither.

It's important if you are an attacker, looking at Gordon's G/A is a perfect example of how under performing he is apart from the odd game. Someone playing in Anderson's position not so much. If we still had him and he'd developed as he has for Forest and England he'd be the deepest lying of our midfield three and the most defensive.

Anderson if I had to choose. Paqueta is 28 and looks a little bit overrated imo. Anderson is 23 and homegrown.

Yeah that's what I meant by "there is exceptions" But even Gordon, if he was consistently beating his man and putting in crosses or passes consistently in dangerous areas without them being assists I genuinely wouldn't care.

If the team were scoring goals as a result of his work it doesn't matter to me if he gets direct credit for it or not.
