Like him or not we need a Bruno Fernandes type player not an Anderson. Creatively is the thing we lacking the most this season.

Every one of us has known for years we need a creative midfielder.

Were not elite like

Ah ok, I’ll get back in my box then. Will Hughes is available I think. We spent more than Real Madrid, Barca, Man Utd, Juve, Milan etc. last season. Thought we were competing with the top teams…

I obviously rate him really highly, but one of our main issues is that we don't play through midfield well at all and Anderson would improve that no end. He is always available in both build up and around the opponent's box, and more often than not he progresses the ball forward either by carrying or passing. His ability in duels is now at least as good as Joelinton, and would take some of that burden away from Bruno, who should be our main source of creativity along with Woltemade, but is often spending his energy running around like a mad man instead. Anderson and Tonali behind Bruno is an incredible combination for a midfield and has absolutely everything.

Bruno is an incredibly creative player, we need to unlock that.

Wasn't having a pop lad honestly, just know in my heart were not elite, Anderson would prob be starting for us if we hadn't of been forced to sell him

I know we aren’t currently troubling the big boys for trophies (and are still getting sneered at by their media shills and plastic fans) but honestly we are an elite sporting institution on almost any metric.

Anyway I’m on holiday so definitely chilled (for one more day 🥲)!!!

I like it, not the most happening of places but a lovely spot aside from that. Great for running, great for the beach, close to some lovely places too

I don’t think we need a creative central player necessarily. We just need more football in the team even if it’s a similar profile.

Just as examples Anderson for Joelinton, Mbeumo for Murphy/Elanga, Hall for Burn- none of these players are super technicians or creative but it raises the entire level of the team.  Much more likely to beat a press, can hold the ball.

Half a side of:

Pope

Krafth

Burn at LB

Joelinton

Murphy

Holds us back way too much.  We could carry one or two but not the 5.

We don’t need a revolution but solid level up from this.

From the little I’ve seen of Ramsey he doesn’t offer much and is an extremely safe and sideways or back passer.

Tbf Ramsey was meant to have been one of the best players at both receiving and making line breaking passes when at Villa (Woltemade was the same). I think I get what we're trying to do on paper but none of it is working.
