trx345
Dyche ball is already knocking 10m off him game by game. happily see us pay 100m to get him back. I think he’d choose us over City Man U - gut blow, and kill death to him if he didn’t. Edited January 15 by trx345
trx345
If real life was Football Manager- whole budget is is on this lad. We can die a valiant death if he chooses to go to Man U, City Chelsea - I just want to know we offered moon on stick. He’s hottest young English player going. Lush Vlad
£100m to buy him back would be worse than £55m on Elanga.
ExiledGeordie
I think he’s priced himself out of a move back, he’s not worth 100m imo. The only way I could see him coming back though is if we managed to broker a slightly more realistic deal if the player wanted to come back and say if Tonali leaves and Anderson becomes his replacement. But I can see us having a go if the price is realistic and Tonali goes (which I think he will).
SUPERTOON
Personally wouldn’t go back for him. We need a different profile of midfielder, his price is also ridiculous.
Sibierski
Reckon £65m would be our upper limit. Beyond that you are compromising deals in other positions. What’s the kicker with Anderson is the HG aspect too. Him, Hall, Miley and a number 3 GK (should’ve been Woodman), and you are sorted for next 3-5 years whilst you aim to develop more / sign 16-18 yr old foreigners who can become club HG. Not really a goal threat at all and just brings more workrate, with improved passing over most our midfielders. We can’t just rely on Bruno to set the tempo, build attacks, create and in recent months. Score the goals to win games. He really does do it all for us. What are the combined G+A’s for the rest of them in all comps this season? Joelinton with 3-4 goals, Tonali the odd assist, Miley must have chipped in with a few? Under or around 10 for 5 midfielders isn’t anywhere near good enough. Especially with how we play.
Sibierski
‘Just’ improved passing is what’s separating us from really challenging the top sides. That alone will create far more chances, allow players to be higher up the pitch which will yield returns. It’s not just a case of lift in a 12 goal CM and they bang them in. Because they will be stuck in same situation or other CMs have with the ball in around the goal.
Dr Venkman
If we replace Sandro with Elliot fucking Anderson I’ll have to have a long, reflective stare into the abyss.

Can find me floating in the Tyne if that came about tbh. 100m? Diabolical stuff.
AyeDubbleYoo
Surely there’s no way we’d even consider buying him for massive money. We have Miley and another 4 good midfielders. We will need to replace people at some point obvs, but Anderson for loads of money won’t be the answer.
Wilson
Haven't read back but surely this 100m/sandro stuff is just hypothetical bollocks? Please tell me it's hypothetical bollocks.

Doctor Zaius
Man City are looking at Anderson like. They're not looking at Tonali.
TaylorJ_01
We cannot give them Anderson for £15m, buy the Greek keeper for £20m, buy Elanga for £55m, then buy Anderson back for £100m. That would end me.

I think we definitely undersold him, but that was due to spending money we didn't have in the previous seasons and then getting caught short with PSR. But he wasn't pulling up any trees when he was here. That might have been down to the way we play rather than any fault of his, but let's wait and see what sort of money other clubs are willing to stump up before we put our hand in. Dr.Spaceman
I'd rather see us go for Bilal El Khannouss (or someone of that profile) over Anderson. Would love EA back here at some point but think there's only potential for that to happen if / when we lose a purple against our wishes. Izakaya
ELLIOT ANDERSON IS WORTH $45M AT THE VERY ABSOLUTE MAX. If I see any cunt on here mention £100m again I'm going to actually put my head in an oven. Fuck me.
