Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Recommended Posts

I was thinking he could potentially be the Joelinton upgrade, but I just don't see him popping up in the box the same way he does. Joelinton should score far more than he does but he at least gets in those areas.

Think we'd only get him if we sold Bruno or Tonali.

I think he's a bit overhyped personally. Good player but I think the media are getting a bit carried away.

I think he's come on a ton and wish him all the best, but I'm always a bit perplexed by how much he gets piped off on here. That's not to say he won't continue on his upward trajectory like.

He played some good passes from deep that won’t be picked up because of how crap Forest were then in final third. He’s mustard and will be moving on in summer.

He really has to be careful he doesn't become another Barkley, Rodwell, Phillips, like. We'd naturally be a good move but if he went to a Liverpool or City, I think it might be too big a jump.

Really excellent today, penalty aside, I thought. When he came back last year, he was alright, but a bit meh, like many of his early games for us.

Looked like he’d stepped up a level today and looked by far Forest’s best player (maybe alongside MGW, albeit he had a lot less influence).

Best forest player and I miss him in this squad. To be fair we lost a good un here mind

Both Anderson and Minteh were good ones that we lost. I'm not convinced yet that Elanga is better than Minteh.

I'm sure after it was given he told the referee to "watch the replay", as though it shouldn't have been given.

They all do that though! Williams looked bemused that that the ref had given a handball against him [emoji38]

Has really come on with the move, whether he would have had that much game time here is doubtful as Eddie admitted. What impressed me was his quick feet, a few times he had the ball under control with his right then a quick left foot pass seemed to throw whoever was in front of him. Superb footballer

He has a lot about him but I'm not sure he's quite at the level to dominate a PL game in the manner he was trying to. And if Forest are hoping he will they might be disappointed.

I wasn't that bothered selling him because he basically didn't feature for us, but it would've been nice to have him as another option. That said, we have Miley and we should have Ramsey.

Overall he had a good game and I'm sure he'll get better because he has lots of strengths, but I would put him at good rather than superb at the moment.

Played well when game was solely at his pace. However our current three had more gears when needed.

Yep. Not really seen that much to convince me he's become a totally different player to what he was with us. He really enjoyed playing under Nuno because he got more time and space with a team that dropped deep, and with England he's not playing in games with the same intensity as the PL either.

He's obviously a very talented player, but would he have the same problems with us as before where he would get lost in the midfield scraps in tight spaces?
