Wandy
He’s Ashley’s ideal man. Bruce is so hated and getting so much abuse and attention now that Ashley has been largely forgot about Ideal man? He's going to cost him £150m in lost value of the club man. Well he’s obviously clearly not that bothered about it is he. He hates us that much he won’t care if we go down. People forget just how much he hates us and how personal this is to him. If we go down he can just sell a few players and bank the parachute payments and he won’t be out of pocket much if at all. It will be us as usual that have to suffer. He hates us that much he is prepared for it to cost him £150m. Aye, righto. The parachute payments wont all come in one go and the players we have aren't worth much at all, so all of that won't be anywhere near £150m. The whole "he hates us" thing is bollocks too, he doesn't care either way. The man is simply as thick as a castle wall, nothing more than that. Aye righto? Aye that’s exactly what is actually happening. If you think he is prepared to watch NUFC halve in value simply because he "hates the fans" then you are genuinely off your nut. It is a ludicrous thing to think I would agree but what other explanation could there be because keeping Bruce in a job at this stage defies belief. Like I say, it's simply because he is an imbecile. Utterly out of his depth when it comes to how to run a football club. People way overthink Ashley's motives when it comes to NUFC.
Ben
if Bruce relegates this club he'll be enemy #1 for MA. If this was the case, why is he still here? MA obviously doesn’t care at all. Because NUFC fans want Bruce gone and if there is one thing that Mike Ashley will never do, it's give the fans what they want. He will cut his nose off to spite his face. Certainly looking that way currently as at no other club would he still be in the job. It’s possibly going to cost him 150m + and the possibility of a takeover, but, he’s still keeping Bruce in the job That's because neither he or his muppet DOF have any idea what to do about it. To replace him, you'd have to know something about the game. That was my original question, if Ashley was given the chance to rid for nothing, would he? Yorkie
Still convinced he's got the safest job in the league. As long as we're out the relegation zone, aye. Try and remember the shite Pardew got away with then reconsider whether or not you think Bruce is going to get binned for any reason other than there being a greater likelihood of relegation than survival. alexf
Feels like the precursor to not winning another game this season. Especially after the injuries last game. Its just going to get worse from here til the end I feel.

Abra Dubravka
Simon Jordan, in fairness to him... he misses the mark when talking about why we loved, and still love Rafa. Aye, going against Ashley could be a corse summary of it, but he showed an ambition and so much more class and was a wholesome figure that represented our club and the city. He’s right about the players. Some of the players are no where near good enough, and performances are proving that weekly. We’ve some decent players, who can be really quality on their day, but squad is a shambles, and for however great ASM or Almiron are, or Wilson scoring you’re forever hoping and praying that the rest of the side with Shelvey, Hendrick, Krath, Lewis don’t cost you the game. Not to mention the dross that’s available from the bench to change a game, or non existence of academy lads. Football has changed for the better last month or so, since Jones and Leeds second half. We’re not camping deep so much, but that’s meaningless if this fat dosser isn’t actually winning us games.

Scoot
And this is why he’s still here Still a drop in the ocean compared to what Ashley will lose if he doesn't sack him. Obviously he'll not sack him though. Ashley doesn't do logic.

midds
£4m compensation to get him here. £4m compensation to get shot of him too. Ashely truly is thick as a bull's dick. If ever there was an owner took a machete to his face to spite his face it's this dopey gormless wanker. He simply doesn't deserve to PL club and, unless he shells out to correct his own mistake, he'll be the owner of a championship club in May and he absolutely 100% deserves it. I'm absolutely fine with him and the club getting exactly what it deserves, fuck him.

If he had any idea who to bring in to replace him yes. But he doesn't, he resorted to asking his drinking pals like Joe Kinnear, or Llambias what to do in the past, now he's reduced to asking a former scout. By this point he's probably down to crossing his fingers and hoping for the best.

Fantail Breeze
I bet The Times have just worked that out based on his salary and remaining contract in they paid it in full. I’m sure there would be negotiation/clauses forcing him to not take the full whack. Regardless, even if it was £10m it’d be good business to sack the cunt.
