Geordie Ahmed
It's done, in a way I'm glad, the hope dragging on much longer would have been tougher to take
Spider Jerusalem
We've gone. The damage caused from raking the skips for bargain basement managers and coaches for years cannot be undone in a few fixtures.
Karjala
How can any single person not put a 10 now? We are gone, and deservedly so.

Dave
Everyone agreed we needed to win that match, and we didn't. The only thing that can save us now is that we got a late equaliser after throwing everything (everything we have, which isn't saying much) at them. Could be important for confidence. But I doubt it. St1pe
Gut feeling is we're down. The international break might give us enough time to improve again but I don't think Benitez can work miracles. If a new manager bounce with someone like Benitez combined with a local derby can't motivate some of those players that we seem to carry then nothing will. Trying to stay glass half-empty by saying we've clearly improved/ing and may actually win a game or two on top of our remaining 'easier' must-wins against Norwich and Villa. Kanj
I still believe we will stay up, I think we will continue to build each week and will win some matches we'd have had a certain "0" on.
Guest DonaldGrump
9.5 we simply had to win today, we just havent got the goals in us to get enough points to stay up. Defeat at Norwich next week, and lets be honest thats likely, we are done for. Look at the run in where are we going to get more points than the Mackems? Win today we would have been above them and even with Palace to come at home in with a shout of catching them. I think its Villa us and the mackems for the drop....though Defoe could keep them up at the expense of Norwich.
ilikenewcastle
7. 10 if we lose to Norwich (which is an even bigger game btw)
TRon
Back up to a 7 today from 5. The equaliser has given us hope but hand on heart I can't say that we have more desire than Sunderland.
AyeDubbleYoo
7 as well for me, there are plenty of points to play for. I don't believe Norwich and Sunderland have suddenly become good teams, but we will struggle to score enough.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
We're going to have to defend well as we don't have anyone who looks like they can score goals regularly.
Mick
Still at 5 but would have been at 8 or 9 if we hadn't got that point.

sbnufc
Even a win against Norwich won't get us above them now thanks to GD (unless we score 5 ) which is a bit worrying. Starting to rely on other teams to drop points is not where we need to be edit: I'm still at
pedro111
Send Colback to space on a rocket, get Colo back and playing with Rafa discipline in him, play M'bemba at left back or even Sissoko after today and maybe we have a chance. With a settled back four I think we would have won that today.
Dontooner
8 for me. I would have thought Rafa would have got us passing the ball faster and more fluid in smaller triangles. The movement of players and passing has not improved by 10 % imo. Its doesnt look good as we need to triple the amount of game readiness from todays game. We still play like strangers and is the main problem Rafa needs to fix. We need a team. Never had one for the longest time.
