The Prophet
I don't think we'll drop. Sheffield, Norwich, Brighton and maybe even Aston Villa are in worse shape than us.

I also think one of Norwich or Sheffield Utd will stay up though.
BlackandWhite
Steve Bruce , ffs! Without a coupe of major signings, which we all know we won’t get, we’re fucked. Average squad and a below average manger. Not good.
Johneddy
The quality of manager tends to matter more than anything in the prem. We have just lost a 'Messi' and replaced him with some bloke from Corbridge - take anyone's hand off who fancies us to beat City at home again this season and with this loon in charge. On the other hand Mike admits to the odd mistake so watch out for a fire-fighting change of manager come February - Allardyce is my shout
Wolfcastle
Bruce signed Bramble. Twice!!!!

Guest covmag
I’d be astonished if this lot don’t go down. Will Brewcie get any credit like Rafa did? No, and to fucking right, he knows the ask 17th and out the cups as quick as possible. Imagine paying £600 to a cunt knowing this.
leffe186
Now we can make a more educated guess on this. I really don't think you'll drop - like last year, there are enough shite teams to keep you up. I mean Bruce, sure, but there is more talent in your squad than in at least four or five other teams. Burnley are uninspiring, Norwich are just winging it, Sheff Utd are making a big step up. Then there's Brighton and Southampton, who've spent some money but will be at the bottom. You could add in Villa too, although their manager seems a bit more clued up and they really did go bonkers mental with money. I gave you a 3. As in you might go down three times out of ten. That might even be a bit harsh. Bruce is not great but he's not a total wassock - no Carver, or JFK. He has enough to work with to keep you ticking over - you'll stay ahead of the shite but get lamped by the good teams. I think that will be enough. Robster
The signings certainly suggest we might have enough to survive but McClaren managed to get a decent squad relegated, despite Rafa's best efforts. If anyone can do it, Bruce can. He'll not have a clue how to knit this lot together.
Decky
Entire season depends on Joelinton. If he flops we're down. There just isnt enough up front to keep us in the league.
Collage
The squad isn’t great, but we should definitely stay up, even with SB at the helm.
Guest covmag
Ok the dust has settled,I feel i have no right to predict as I've boycotted the season and the club. However this will be a struggle ,I've no idea how it will end up,Bruce doesn't inspire me when the going gets tough.I wont compare him to Rafa, you cant, one things for sure starting with Sunday the big teams should rock up and win easily. I stick by my predictions, these will go down 3rd bottom.

I'm very firmly in the "burn it down" camp and I was thrilled with Bruce's signing because it was almost a guaranteed relegation. And while I don't think Joelinton and ASM will replace the goals of Rondon and Ayoze, it seems a squad has been cobbled together that Fraud Bruce can keep up. AyeDubbleYoo
Depends on how much worse the organisation and defence is compared to Rafa. People forget how bad some of our players can be, and Perez and Rondon were key to the system. I’d say we’d end up with at least 10 points less than last season, which is relegation material. There's a lot of merit to this. Schar looked amazing under Rafa because people were drilled to make intelligent runs. As a defender, defending isn't his greatest strength and might struggle when under more pressure. As will The Captain, almost certainly. If they really just get sent out to run around a bit, then we're going to get pounded.
Colos Short and Curlies
Not too worried about this season, it's next season that worries me. For all the good performances against the top 6 they resulted in 3 points. The 14 games against Brighton, Palace, West Ham, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield gave us 17 points. Whilst Bruce is a far inferior coach to Rafa I actually think he is more likely to get a result at home against all of these than Rafa's system + our players would be. So we are going to take a few heavy beatings, but we'll also win a few more games just by not having such a systemic approach to games. The front 3 + Carroll will get chances and will score goals. For the casual fan I'd actually wager that match day will be more fun this year, but its not sustainable and once Bruce gets his 'methods' ingrained we will see results suffer - ala Pardew. Tribesman
Its when rather than if Newcastle will be relegated. It might not happen this season although its a strong possibility, but its going to happen fairly soon. Its just not sustainable to run the club the way it is. You can't get away with cutting corners and appointing managers like Bruce at this level and expect to stay in the Premier League. You could probably just about get away with it during the Pardew era when the league was still full of pfms and badly run clubs like Villa and Sunderland. However, the Premier League has changed, clubs are moving away from short term managers like Allardyce and Pulis in favour of progressive managers with modern ideas and long term thinking. Other clubs are appointing the best directors possible to help their clubs reach higher levels. Other clubs are scouting and buying better quality players. This was an area when Pardew was in charge that Newcastle were good at, but other clubs have pulled ahead of them in this department. The Premier League has outgrown Newcastle under Ashley and once again they will find out the hard way.
Andy
We'll finish about 13th. We'll be swirling around the plug-hole for the foreseeable future but I think the players we have will be enough to keep us up this year.
