Joe_F
The Gazette understands the consortium have agreed to pay more than the originally agreed £300 million for the football club. It’s understood PIF, PCP and the Reubens – who will split the club 80%, 10% and 10% – have accepted an Ashley proposal which would see them shell out an extra 10% on top of their original purchase price. How the fuck Ashley has managed to negotiate an extra £30m in the middle of a pandemic is baffling like.

Ashley will want compensation for having to fork out for Lawyers.

BlackandWhite
Clearly the fact that the EFL’s chair has strong ties to Liverpool has nothing to do with their support of it They can fuck off trying to ruin the game. We don’t want a Yankee-like structure where the big boys have all the say and nobody else gets a look in. Opportunist cunts hoping that the 250m bribe to efl clubs and 100m bribe to the FA will help get them their way. Fuck right off.
Robster
The PL are having an absolute nightmare from all angles Is this on the PL, this one? Seems like it's the EFL's doing with MUFC and LFC going behind the PL's back.

Seems like it's the EFL's doing with MUFC and LFC going behind the PL's back. The Premier League will likely have been supportive of it or have allowed the talks to continue and not straight up stopping them. They will play innocent for as long as possible. With the EFL though, how many League 1 and 2 clubs who realistically have little to no hope of reaching the Premier League will be in favour of more money being dropped down? Also has Rick Parry actually consulted any of the EFL clubs?

"The Gazette understands" doesn't qualify as formally though. It also says "It remains to be seen whether all parties will remain at the table should the fight go long term". Strange article altogether.
jdckelly
also apparently the other 14 premier league clubs outside the "top 6" were unaware of this plan by Man Utd and Liverpool, given you need to get a lot of them onside before this plan could get off the ground it seems a bit stupid

Whitley mag
This plan will clearly have the support of EFL clubs with no ambition. In effect it secures their future income, as long as the top 6 don’t decide to change the rules at a later date that is.

Ikon
The part about Ashley getting more than 300m isn't that something that was agreed way back? Unless it's happening yet again (could be). I'm certain that Staveley said something about it a while back and that the consortium agreed to it.

Just feels like they shouldn't even be allowed to have this level of discussion with PL clubs without the authority of the PL.
