Armchair Pundit
So, I'm right in thinking this only affects monies brought in that are applicable to FFP spend on players? Essentially, we have to find some way of getting money into the club, solely to balance out spend on players. We can spend what we like on everything outside of the playing staff, so the improvements to the ground, training facilities and wages of a new manager aren't included? TheInfiniteOdyssey
Would have been wonderful to see such vested interest in our sponsorship opportunities any time in the last 14 years where we got fuck all from Sports Direct, making us inherently uncompetitive. Dr Jinx
There’s no way any of that sticks. It’s anti competitive and wouldn’t get through court. Like mentioned before, if they were really worried about it they wouldn’t have sent Charnley. The other clubs seem to be trying to act quickly before our new owners have a grasp of what’s going on. We need a beast of a CEO in quickly, someone who knows this lot and will put manners on them.

And right now we can spend £190m on players coz Ashley was so tight.
xLiaaamx
We've seen how good the PL are at kicking cans down the road when they don't want something. The other clubs know they can stall us for years and increase the gap to us further while we have legally clear our right to compete again.

I was just meaning in relation to how slow the consortium are moving re appointments. Club has little to no staff, nobody of any note in any position. And we are taking a dicking from all corners so I'm not surprised they are stuttering a little bit.

xLiaaamx
Anyway - its for a month, so our owners need to get deals announced 19th of November in the small window that opens up before they get something more permanent in.

Think they had no choice but to send Charnley as the Companies House standings have not been updated yet, so legally I think he is probably still the only legal Director until it is updated. Wolfcastle
There was a lovely picture of Brady's daughter in the papers recently sunning herself in Arab sunshine, showing off all the bling. Dr Jinx
Some decisive action needs to happen soon. In fairness they did say they are conducting a complete and thorough review but some things that are more obvious need to be addressed sooner. AS shouldn’t be running the club day to day, it’s not her area of expertise and the likes of Lee Charnley who is staying on, you really don’t want someone like him having the chance to worm his way into their thinking. I’d even give Peter Kenyon a temporary role if he’s available. Someone with big club experience who can hit the ground running. He did this at Chelsea for about a season when Abramovich took over before they got their own people in.
