We are so fucking far behind.

So the paint job from three years ago won’t convince them? ;)

The fact that he’s even getting asked that question in the first place shows there’s an issue with the ownership, though. He’s says they’re fighting every day. Okay, fine. What are they fighting every day for? To buy players? Fair enough. It’s a tough market out there when you’re shopping for world class players but don’t have the funds to compete.

But there’s other things that they could do that doesn’t require fighting to show the fans that they still hold a vested interest in the club. Announce a new training ground. Christ, announce a new CEO and DoF. Give us something.

We’re a week away from the new season starting. The manager who has delivered consistantly from day one and who got you Champions League football TWICE and brought our trophy drought to an end should not be needing to answer questions about whether or not the owners still care about the club. Don’t put him in that position. Back the man. Give him the tools and the people he needs to do the job.

12:00 onwards… will hopefully calm some fears / overreactions…

It’s so calming that the manager and not the owners are answering that question - mainly because the owners have said sweet fuck all for years and have a vacuum at executive level at the club.

I’ve seen this before of course - but at least this time it’s a good manager and not Alan Pardew having to answer for his bosses.

As much as I think people are running away with a transfer window that hasn’t went our way, I do think we need to hear more about the new stadium and training ground this year.

Man Utd training ground looks decent there, but if that’s a £50m refurb, then if the rumours of our training ground costing £300m is true, it will be amazing.

I think one of the issues we have is that Man Utd had decent facilities at their academy where the first team were able to drop in at whilst they closed Carrington. We don’t have such luxury.

I have no doubt the owners are still invested. They bought the club fighting a long 18 months battle with the EPL, they're hardly going to cash out for a 2-3x when in the grand scheme of things that's absolutely nothing to them. The execution of some of the stuff they have promised has been absolutely school boy however.
