Because he hasn't worked his whole notice period at Brighton I think

He could still leave his job tho, he just would sacrifice his salary, he must have a similar contract to a player.

How often do contracted players just leave their job mid-contract without any fee being paid by the buying club?

No, players contracts are controlled by central bodies.

We'll had to pay a fee to Brighton to get out of his gardening period.

I’d expect a CEO to be appointed in the next few weeks also.

As far as I’m aware, I don’t think the press have reported on any potential candidates.

There was someone mentioned a little while back, Jeremy Darroch. Former Sky executive and a Newcastle fan. Although he (sort of) distanced himself from it.

I wonder whether a combination of it being handled by specialist recruitment firms who are happier keeping tight-lipped than football people and it not being a particularly "sexy" story means nothing is really coming out in the press.

Brighton fan I know told me that one thing Ashworth absolutely hates is Grade 1 listed buildings. Reckon stadium expansion with a retractable Nandos/convention center will be announced soon.

I heard he's got contact's with a firm who can take them apart brick by brick and move them somewhere else... sorry, wrong thread.

wrong, he’d be in breach of contract and could be sued by Brighton accordingly.

would be pretty straightforward to show us as inducing him to breach his contract leaving us open to legal action as well.

us paying Brighton is to have them waive the rest of his notice period therefore ending his contract

In 6 months our club has gone from looking like we'll never escape from Purgatory, to a club with a bright intelligent young manager, a sporting director who's highly regarded as one of the best in the business. To owners who seem to give a shit without anything sinister behind it.

I'm just shaking my head in disbelief, this is our club, nothing good ever happens to us [emoji38]

I've just watched our goals of the season and had no memory of the Maxi's Leeds at home goal and I was there. Ive just had to YouTube the likes of Southampton at home and West ham as they left no impression, instantly forgotten, just a reason to go out with my mates.

Aye, the lack of interest was so prevalent with Bruce blundering along and Ashley just sucking the blood from the club. I would watched every second of every game, but this season i started doing other things as i had enough. As soon as the sale and Eddie came in, oi oi this seems nice [emoji38]

Maybe bridges weren't his thing, but a trip to Beamish convinced him to sign.
