If he’s as highly rated as some suggest, wonder why he going down to the championship? Unless it’s a bigger role.

 kinda burying the lead to say “taking a job in the Championship” when it’s a job with one of the biggest clubs in the country

When eddie first joined he seemed to be a key figure on the recruitment front for the club, but as the, seasons have gone by he seems to be used less and put on less important responsibilities.

Probably because he questioned Howe. Been managed out. Been there.

At least no ones overreacting.

Yer kna, I just don’t think modern football fandom is for me.

Can you imagine having to exist in this perpetual state of hysteria? To not only hold, but take the time to broadcast your opinion about something that we - as grown adults who can go out and enjoy the spoils of the gorgeous green earth we’ve been gifted - shouldn’t give a shit about?

Even if it is performative. Even if it is to get the scrapings from Mr Musk’s table. Is it not exhausting? Because it’s exhausting having to exist in the same dimension as these tedious cunts.

Forget under 16s. Can we have a social media ban for 99 per cent of our fanbase?

It sounds like a promotion at West Ham as a Sporting Director. In the first days of our takeover I'm sure Amanda mentioned he was acting as a defactor Sporting Director due to no executive team. He has also done the qualification so makes sense to take that opportunity whilst he can.

I am surprised, I'm sure someone on here has links to him and referenced personal reasons for staying - without dilvuging them. I thought similar tbh.

What I would say is in football sometimes even those behind the scenes can't call it.

I reckon he's really good at his job and he'll be missed. I also think we'll be alreet.

This 100%. Part of us maturing as a club is building a recruitment structure that has more depth and isn't reliant on a single person who might up sticks and leave for a better offer. In a world where Nickson has become less important here, you can absolutely see why he might be attracted to a job at a more old school club like West Ham where the job is basically find players who suit the manager's taste.

I mean would it be churlish for me to attempt to suggest that someone who was here during the Ashley era going to the shambles of a club that is West Ham under their current ownership in the Champo, whilst there are rumours of Enrico Paresce from Torino coming in as head of recruitment might actually be the club getting an upgrade?

I must admit I read the updates online and never really look at who has said what (except TGD who I know will always tell everyone they are wrong)

But I'm sure the same people who were saying our transfers and squad depth over the years has been crap are now kicking off that now Nickson is leaving, the club will fall apart.

Did he? Maybe look at earlier on in his career at Milan and Stade Rennais, or alternatively just sit in your own piss and believe everything is going to be awful forever 🤦🏻‍♂️FML
