Loki679
If we're trying to transition away from intensity and physicality then our summer signings make very little sense.
Lucky
Has anyone compared what went wrong at Bournemouth for him to what’s happening here now?

timeEd32
We're currently 8th in the Champions League and in yet another cup quarterfinal, but somehow people are hell bent on inventing a crisis.

I think everyone is happy with our cup form, but the PL is how the season is usually judged. On that front we are (currently) failing, and that's where the concerns are being expressed. What I'm finding peculiar is I thought things were far worse this time last year but - from memory - people who were alright with that are now upset. We're currently -6 points on like for like games. That's bad, but it seems to be a strange season for most clubs at present, and there's a serious opportunity to make that -3 after next weekend's game at Brentford. Given what we've gone through with Eddie Howe, I'm happy giving him another three seasons without even referring to our results. Among other things, I don't see many contenders out there who you could claim even have a chance of coming in and doing better across multiple seasons for the club. The chances of a downgrade are strong.
astraguy
who was that lad we had from asia that played preseason and looked good? I'd like to see more youth training with us its our wingers failing us the most
Stottie
Most shots without scoring, league ranking. 2. Gordon (14 shots) 3. Tonali (12) 6. Barnes (10) 15. Joelinton (8) (via. Statmuse) Of our wide players, only Murph has scored and he broke his duck last week. None of our defenders have scored in the league either. Until yesterday, our defence has been really good, so I wouldn't judge it on that one game. West Ham had 9 shots on target, the most we've faced this season. And they separately forced an own goal. Doctor Zaius
The signing of Elanga has riled me so far. You have our third highest ever fee for a player, in a position that we've needed to strengthen for years. If you're wanting to transition away from a high press for teams that sit in against us, why not go for a player that's able to unlock a defence - or at least offer something different. We've spent a fortune on a player who is in the same mould as Murphy, but has been worse. He looked good against Liverpool and Barcelona, where we were able to hit them on the break, but thats not the majority of our games and they're not the games we tend to struggle in. He's been in the league for years. We know fine well his limitations and his attributes. We know he looked good last season in a team that played on the break. That's not us though. I'm not writing him off but it looks like a proper misjudgement at the moment. He hasn't had much time, but the jury is very much still out on dropping 40m on Jacob Ramsay too. LiquidAK
This feels almost note for note what happened last season. We started poorly, the usual people panicked, then Howe sorted it out, won us a trophy, secured CL football and the "it's fine to ask questions!?!" crowd were suddenly nowhere to be found. Now we've hit another bumpy patch a few have resurfaced (some with shiny new accounts, love that for them) but guarantee they'll be be off with their tails between their legs before too long, they don't learn.
