The way we were playing first half was a warning as they were peppering our goal with long throws which we weren't dealing with great,

Burn was all over the place Murphy aswell how them two never came off very early in the second half is baffling.

The business in the window was sub standard and we are falling short. Howe needs a different approach.

He’s earned himself 2 seasons to get it right imo.

I’m not having the transfer business was bad. We just lost 3-1 against West Ham and Brentford.

Combine all three teams starting lines ups those days and probably 2 players make our team.

the tactics are shite

Its a funny old game, as prior to this Brentford match we'd actually won 7 in 10, its just the problem is 5 of them where cup games, and our away form is shit.

Still, anyone seriously wanting Howe gone wants a word, that would be shortermism in the max

Most are just asking for better, not a change in manager. No way he gets another season if he finishes bottom half.

The decision to not sub Hall on as soon as Burn was booked was absolute rank amateur.

Everybody could see it, why couldn’t he?

If not then he should have been immediately off after we got away with one

It stopped working for him at Bournemouth as well. It happens. Loses the derby and he's done. No coming back from that with what he has had at his disposal.

Nee offence Dokko because I definitely don't think the pressure being off can last indefinitely regardless of what he's achieved, but you literally said the exact same thing before the last derby in the cup. He's still here and we've got a trophy in our cabinet, so let's not go nuts with the proclamations

What do you make of his decisions today?

Were they ridiculous or understandable?

I thought he had got rid of some of the questions around his away form from his Bournemouth days. The same as he proved he could set a team up well defensively.

But this is quite some run of away games where we must be up there with the worst in the league in 2025?

Almost impressive in a way that we managed to be worse than last weekend

Not under any pressure for me. He will find a way. He always has done so far.

This is nonsense like. The players absolutely love him by all accounts. We can criticise this without writing fanfiction

They might love him, but they aren’t fucking playing for him.

Needs to be a full reset during this break, for me. Get Tino and Hall back in, put Schar with Thiaw, go with Ramsdale in nets.

Fucked if I’ve got any solutions for how dump the lauded midfield three have been all season as a unit, mind. Maybe not just playing 4-3-3 every fucking game?

We’ve been more secure with 3 at the back but that doesn’t working either.

If we must start Burn play him CB.

Biggest concern for me is the business in the summer.

Not sure where the confidence comes from that he will find a way mind. No signs of it. Our attacking play is non existent.

The really bad away form is concerning and it's not as if it's been confined to this season - run-in at the end of last wasn't good enough, either. Eddie has got a job on here - players look to have lost belief, poor tactical choices and subs. As I said in the match thread, the media will be sharpening their knives and you know what? Hard to say that it won't be deserved.

Something is wrong, IMO.

There's no justifying not bringing Burn off as soon as he got his yellow. Not doing so after the should have been penalty was just criminal.

That being said he's allowed a dodgy patch.

Woltemade desperately needs Wissa up there with him.

Trippier can do something of a job but is a clear downgrade on Tino.

Hall/Ramsdale need to be starting from now on.

Joelinton needs some time out of the team.

Bruno/Tonali need to be given rest time.

If anyone deserves a chance to put this right Howe does. He's the right man for the job and you stick with the right man through thick and thin.

It was his business and he signed 5 players, now he keeps playing Pope, Murphy. Can't get a performance out of Bruno, Gordon and others. Now signs Tonali etc suffering with it. It's shit and he won't change our style or formation. It's slow and shit and inevitable we put ourselves under pressure.

He has Miley and Ramsey on bench and persists with Joelinton.

Whatever the rebuild looks like not sure I trust Howe to lead on the transfers.

I love Eddie. We all do but we just don't do the things that made us fall for him. The high press is none existent we are just passive and we seem to be playing within ourselves all the time. The technical standard is absolutely diabolical we have no ability to retain or control games so we just end up looking like a bunch of amateurs.

We can't 433 without a 9, and then its hard to change when both first choice full backs who can wing back are out.

We need a decent Wissa alternative January otherwise I do t k ow what the plan is and Nick is a waste.

I'd go 4-4-1-1, but Eddie won't do it. I fear sticking to his 4-3-3 will cost him the job, the way we're playing there can be no other end really. We don't look like playing our way through the poor form, so changing things up is worth it, but Eddie is not showing he's not willing to do that.
