I'm just sick of the rollercoaster now. I wish we were either good under Howe or shit, just so either way we'd know where we stand. Being good one week and dog shit the next is just infuriating. I don't know whether he's the man or not because we are so inconsistent.

Stop playing Wolt in midfield, Eddie.

We're really missing Bruno, Miley and Livramento.

They're not reasons that when we score, we just let the opposition have the lead back.

We need to evaluate things at the end of the season. I'm not for getting rid of him midseason.

If he stays he cannot be in charge of transfers. He's created a horrible, unbalanced squad.

Should have kept woltemade and Elanga on especially if we are told to cross it in all game, makes no sense using wissa in them situations.

Has gordon ever played well against these?

Pressure has to be building. It's just not good enough. As soon as a team play a low block we struggle. Defensively we're weak, in midfield there is no real creativity and up front we have players either not good enough or just not suited to the way play. This was a carbon copy of our performances against low block teams over the duration of his management. He just hasn't come up with an answer on how to handle it.

Think it’s going to be a bit like this until the end of the season now, unfortunately. Hopefully people can get used to it and get behind them team once they realise.

The full back situation is really bad, and the striker situation is probably worse. These are self inflicted issues ofc but I don’t think anyone could possibly have expected Wissa to be so bad. These two issues are absolute killers, they  are costing us goals at both ends every game and there is not really a way to fix it now this season, especially with no time on the training ground.

Get to the summer, let a few players leave and fix the issues with the squad.

reposting this again, really.

The errors for this season were all made in the summer, and some go back further to Mitchell/Eales being continuously bad at their jobs. It goes without saying that Howe has done enough here to deserve another shot at it with an actual backroom team in place.

edit: people can feel how they feel but try to take a moment to consider things.

I think it’s fair to say he failed twice in the season where we need to play in Europe or ECL. Whether he should have the chance to have a third trial is debatable.

I have faith in Eddie to be able to bring us back to top 6 next season. I just genuinely not sure whether the cycle will repeat again and again

My only concern is all of these heart to heart, backs against the wall, truth talks we're likely having when shit goes south...which has happened a fair bit this seasons. It gives the feeling you can only burn so many matches before you run out of authority and the players no longer respond to your instructions/coaching/calls to up their mentality.

Let’s be honest, the pressure should absolutely be on. There’s enough evidence now to suggest his style struggles to cope with the volume of fixtures — and it’s starting to look like we could be heading for another season without Europe off the back of a Champions League campaign.

This summer is massive for him, especially in terms of recruitment. If we end up spending heavily again on the kind of players he pushed for last year and it doesn’t improve things, he won’t last long.

The powers that be will definitely be having conversations about his future behind closed doors. I can see him being replaced in the summer if we dont go on an almighty charge up the league or win a cup. I think his time is close to the end. Nobody can say it's just the occasional game, we've looked horrendous for most of the season. Beating Man City doesn't make up for losing at home to shite like Everton.

I've been a staunch Howe supporter but I'm starting to change my mind now. We just look clueless going forward and the defensive errors are just ridiculous.

Let the hyperbole commence! Not much has changed since a few weeks ago before that good run, we were severely hampered in the summer on a multitude of fronts and we're struggling with the match calendar. I just want this season to be over and look forward to starting afresh next season with one game a week and actually winning more than we lose.

Fans of clubs like Aston Villa, Man United and Tottenham would be screaming for the manager to be sacked if their team were languishing in 12th place come March.

We weren't screaming for it when we were 13th in March last season. We fully backed the manager, and he wasn't as good a manager as Howe.

The worry for me is when we are against it he just goes crackers with subs players playing all over the shop which make no sense.

Like today he took wolte and Elanga off and we were left with gordon Barnes and Murphy as our attack.
