The College Dropout
I do believe fatigue is a major issue in our performances. But Howe is responsible for managing the players fatigue and players conditioning.
Zero
Come on the result is expected. No need to bump this thread. Are people seriously think we can beat the scousers when we are in such a bad form?
Aiston
Mental it took 82 minutes for Howe to realise Burn shouldn't be up against Salah.
TheInfiniteOdyssey
I’m pretty concerned like. We don’t look organised at all. We were a rabble tonight.

Nothing wrong with constructive criticism, but calling for the head of the bloke who steered us from relegation and finished fourth just a year later is on point. At this "supporters" should be rallying around a manager and squad, not turning on them. I hope he’s given at least another season, it does however feel like the next few weeks are pivotal for him moving forward. I know a few on here are saying otherwise, but that Sunderland game is absolutely massive on Saturday.
pubteam
It's the manner of these defeat that's of most concern. We look like a very poor football team.

We were well and truly beaten. Relegation fodder can muster up better performances.

Bimpy474
Some of the comments ffs, has the last few years fucked your tiny brains. We're miles behind teams like Liverpool, financially and commercially. Eddie performed miracles last season and over achieved, we have to build season on season and we are. We're playing 15 years of catch up, it's going to be a road of bumps. Look at the subs Liverpool can bring on, even with a fully fit squad we haven't got their quality yet.

Rational, level headed football fans are few and far between unfortunately.
The Butcher
Another really poor performance. Look knackered, disjointed, making simple mistakes, out of shape defensively, same tactical mistakes over and over. We don't look like a team anymore. It really is worrying. Lose the derby and who knows... Really, really hope he can turn it around, but signs aren't great atm. Edited January 1 by The Butcher
ponsaelius
Last few games have been genuinely worrying, tbf. There's something not quite right at all and we don't look like turning it around any time soon.

Don't need to rehash it, we played Liverpool away and lost, no one expected us to do anything.
Amir_9
There is no way people are not writing this entire month as a write off perhaps maybe a win against the mackems and a draw against Villa at best. Anything more is totally unexpected given the circumstances and situation we find ourselves in. If you aren't then I think you may have overrated our squad in its current state a little bit more than what they can do. They overperformed last year man, mistaskes were made this year and lessons will no doubt be learnt. The pressure and talks of Howe losing his job really shouldn't be until next season or the very least this month is out of the way.

The midfield setup doesn’t work. The current midfield 3 are too slow / lack athleticism to play the way they’ve been asked to play. Bruno pressing the oppo’s 6 and leaving massive gaps behind him. Why do we keep doing that? If teams can beak our first line of press there’s massive gaps - why?

Only so much you can blame injuries and fatigue when you have players like Hall not getting in ahead of Burn, and Trippier needing to sit out and not being so when Livramento is available. 8 minutes ago, Wandy said: Looking very much like a bang-average manager right now. Lose the derby and he is in big trouble. The last few weeks have nibbled away at his banked credit. A loss to Sunderland will take a very big chunk from it. SUPERTOON
The main issue he has is that he massively overachieved last season. Genuinely think that’s where the reactions and pressure is coming from. Ridiculous really.
Jagten
The numbers have, until now, supported him, but that expected goal diff is as bad as it will get for any team in the league in basically any season.

Dokko
He's acting like a novice manager. Has done for most of the last 2 to 3 months. He's more out of form than his players. I think he knows he can't change it and just sits and watches the car crash. Completely out of ideas on how to stop this. He could start by mixing up his starting xi and using subs earlier...but refuses to divert from his plan a and plan a cleary hasn't worked for 10 games or so now. Enough players are back to not be performing like this. He has his 1st choice defence but it cant stsy focused for more than 5mins at a time. Said before this game stick the most defensive unit out as possible and frustrate. Get Hall I front of the lb and keep salah quiet. Right now he's got that looks when Bruce was beating him and his team was going down....Just dead behind the eyes and broken. The club need to back him with players ASAP. Fuck ffp. Go out and correct this season or he'll not last it. Deals should have been done already, not sitting on it waiting for players to come back. It's not fair on those whove been run into the ground, and if they don't act now, they've done them a disservice as well as Howe.
