Hendrick is a decent player, always looked solid for Burnley when I've watched them. Decent, solid and a boring signing that likely won't improve our first team.

Smalling is really good, would probably be our best centre back if he was to join.

FWIW the only Nufc game I went to last season was the home cup tie against Oxford, a poor game from start to finish, but I will say Rob Dickie was one of the best players on the pitch so much so I didn't have a clue who he was but i went away to look him up from his number, meant nowt as I never thought we would be signing him, but I did think from that particular game he looked a good player for that level.

I think we’ll see about 6-7 teams this season with a similar transfer strategy based on the current climate (loans, frees, cheap cast-offs from other clubs) which might mean we’re not in the shittest 3. Bring it on.

No thanks, think I'll find something else to do

Buying from League 1 now? Well, Steve's gotta make his £30m war chest go a long way, especially when its got to cover wages, signing on and agents fees as well.

What’s the problem buying from League One if they’re good enough? From what i remember Spurs bought Dele Alli from League One for example.

Not many examples of 24 years olds jumping from League One to a Premier League team and doing well though? You get the odd one that come up through the leagues with a club and do well, but that’s some ask.

Alli was 18 or something wasn't he? This lad is 24, which isn't that old but you'd expect most players to have found their level around about that age

Obviously there's examples of players being able to move up the divisions but you've got to wonder why he's playing in League 1 at this stage in his career

Steve Bruce.

Think that would have been a good deal for both clubs.

If we could do that, bring in Ryan Fraser and Hendrick on frees and go back in for Willems then we’d be much better off than we are now and for little outlay.
