I’m pretty sure we sold a few players when we last went down, who then went on to compete in a CL final a few years later. Anyone who says Sissoko was a stand out player for us is off their rocker too.

It’s comparative to the size of the club interested in the player and an indictment of how utterly fucking shit some of the players we’ve had on our books have been in the last few years. See that wretched ginger cunt and Mid-table Championship specialists Forest as an example.

Joelinton is the one that's going to get dropped from the first team. It's rough for him, but it was an irresponsible purchase that does not fit in at all with Bruce's more straight forward approach.

 

Bruce wants a striker that looks to get in behind, get in the box and score goals. And he wants wide men that take people on. Almiron will play the number 10 because he's performed well since being placed there.
