  1. 1. How likely are we to get relegated this season? 0 = nee chance, 5 = can’t call it, 10 = nailed on marra

We didn't really learn anything tonight but sooner or later we're going to have to take three points off one of the much better sides in the division. Just isn't going to happen if we continuously throw goals into our own net.

What people need to ask is - do you think the teams doing well (outside the top six) will drop off and the teams in the bottom six will pick up?

If the answer is yes we're going down. If no, we should be grand.

Back to Matt fucking Ritchie at left back aswell for next few games.

Unlikely to pick up anything before transfer window opens, going into Jan on 10 points is a mountain to climb.

We really are now relying on other teams having a shit December, or Covid giving us a reprieve.

We needed to be on 15 points at turn of the year for me. These players have let the new owners and fans down massively, the sooner most of them are slung out the fucking door the better.

A surprise result is so strange for this team. When was the last time? Benitez against City? Probably lose the next three. Probably a silly mistake by the defenders in all of them. January can not come soon enough..

A few at the back end of last season.

Doesn’t going down just mean we will keep them?

Aye, don't get that kind of patter tbh. We need to stay up to fix this squad, if we go down there's no guarantees whatsoever of us coming back up. Players that were signed for promotion 5 years ago are not guaranteed to bring us back 5 years later.

Yeah I don't buy this way of thinking anymore, this isn't Ashley's NUFC now, we don't need to go down to start again we can stay up and have a refresh.

If we go down, I assume we'll just assemble the best squad the Championship has ever seen to get us back up. The problem then is we'll need another overhaul the year after to start competing properly in the Premier League. That will be tough with all them championship players on high wages.

Fuck I stopped looking at 4-0.

thats a right humping for Leeds

Could have been twice as bad as well. Man City were on fire on Tuesday, one of the most dominant displays in the top flight I've seen.

We've been in winning positions 8 times this season (10th best in the league, not sure if that includes today), and obviously only won one of them. Cut the stupid mistakes out of game and we could easily be mid-table.

Guess this could be viewed as both positive or negative in regards to staying up, but IMO, it's not like we never look like winning a game. Going ahead means we give ourselves a chance of winning, we just need to start taking them.

Or buy highly rated young talents and use the championship season to prepare them for the premier league.

I'd actually prefer us just to get both the Manchester games out the window then go into lockdown and give us an extra couple of weeks to get some players through the door, can't see any points no matter who we sign from both those games anyway and the last thing new players need is to be part of another drubbing.

Aye. Southampton (h), Watford (a), Brentford (h), Arsenal (a), Norwich (h), Leicester (a) and tonight. All games where individual errors have cost us either goals at important times or have been chances missed. Southampton, Watford, Brentford and Norwich especially.

Disagree. We learned an Eddie Howe can cope with strong opposition aside from a stupid mistake. We learned thhat we need to smarten up of we think champions give a fuck we have a head injury and we learned that we can give people a game if we decide to show up.
