Newcastle United 1 - 1 Norwich City (30/11/2021)

Recommended Posts

Gutted after that. Norwich didn’t deserve anything. We looked more likely to score at 1-0 then just got a bit of luck.

Lewis has to keep his place now. It’ll be a big test to see what Howe’s about whether he goes for a more solid, athletic defender or whether he reverts to Richie as he’s been his player for so long.

We really needed to win that. If we beat Burnley and get 4 points this week we’re still alive but fail to win and we might as well start planning for next season.

How Clark has been ahead of Fernandez for so long is a complete mystery to me.

I thought there was loads to be encouraged about there. Overall we defended well as a unit, Fed and the full backs deserve praise. I thought Joelinton worked his socks off for the cause, while Shelvey was decent.

We win that with eleven, but what can you do.

Still only 6 points off as it stands, people need to stop losing their shit.

You see our fixtures between now and the end of the year? Let's see what the gap is in January, we've played 14 teams and beat none of them. Losing your shit would have been saying these things after 7 games, right now its realism.

Since Howe came in we have had some fucking disgusting individual errors like.

Minging by Clark, fucker should be sent to the North Pole in his underpants.

What he's done is deploy an actual system, tactics and it's exposed the weakest points in our squad. The fuckwittery of the previous regime front and center as soon as someone with acumen, merit and football IQ is given control.

Idiots who booed at FT should fuck off and not come back.

Of course fucking of course Pukki scores an absolute fucking worldie against us. Nine times out of ten that shot ends up in level 7 from the angle he's approaching it.

Have an unreasonable dislike for Pukki and had a feeling he'd score

It's hard but we've shown something tonight. 1-1 with 82 minutes with 10 mins is not something we should be ashamed of. It will be individual errors after all that which cost us the 3pts but as a team we showed something.

Unfortunately though, those individual errors (usually 3 or 4 a game) are happening every single game. Doesn't matter who comes in the errors keep churning out.

Bloke has barely stood on a football pitch all season, it’s unsurprising he’s incredibly rusty.

Shite excuse. So had Fernandez, but he had a class game.

Disgraceful to boo the remaining team did well all things considered, my anger is just its not good enough to do rearguard draws against norwich, yes its an individual error but it's too late to be suffering this kind of stupid set back

Our inability to get out our own half led to them being able to camp in our half and create that chance.

You have to threaten the opposition on some level, or they just throw everyone at you. It's imperative to push some of their players into their own half by at least looking like you want to attack occasionally.

We weren't even that deep after the goal though.

Schär should have had a free kick when their player stepped on him instead of a throw in to them just before the goal as well.

He was also on the pitch for 80 minutes.

People underestimate how difficult it is to get up to speed after being thrown on with 10/15 minutes to go. Especially if you’ve played no football all season.

14 games without a win with only one favourable fixture left till the halfway point. It's not doom mongering to see the obvious [emoji38]

It's not doom mongering to think we will very likely go down. It's sensible and realistic.

It is doom mongering and just wrong  (plus boring) to say it's 'certain' that we can't close a 6 point/3 team gap with 24 games remaining, when only 3 of those 14 games so far were under the current manager and there's a transfer window still to come.

(btw remember how many points people had Fulham picking up last season after Maja scored one, compared to us )

The ball was already out of play wasn’t it when the step happened? If not it must have been pretty close.

Worried we’ve too many players simply not good enough who’ll make costly mistakes. Clark this time, Darlow the other week.

It’s not over obviously but 14 games without a win…we’ll have to do something special to stay up.
