Realistic Transfer Targets (2025/26)

Still saying would have absolutely taken Jackson over Wissa.  Rapid as anything, can press really well and was really really good at taking balls at midfield and playing out wide or turning and running with it to drive up field.

In a world we offload Woltemade or Wissa in the summer who would be on your list for a striker that can press from the top with pace? Granted, there are not many about, I also do not have much knowledge from the European leagues. I guess a player of the Thiago mold would be interesting?

I've no issues with Missa leaving but I want Wolf to stay, he's only going to get better and better. It just depends on how Howe uses him.

Didn't they want something daft like £70m?

Pretty sure we could have done the deal for the same price as Wissa - it’s an insane amount of money for him. He just wouldn’t have fit in with the culture so I guess that’s why we didn’t bother

Several German news outlets report about our interest in Julian Ryerson from Dortmund.

Would be a clever acquisition, relatively cheap, good solution for 2-3 years, just peaked his potential (11 assists in 20 games this season).

I guess he is plan b should we lose Tino.

I've just accepted that we'll never buy a decent Norwegian after the Per Ciljan Skjelbred links back in 1755 never materialised. A 50 year old Ronny Johnsen is the best we'll experience in my life time. Sad.

Remember the young Uruguay striker Alvaro Rodriguez that made his debut under Anchelotti at Real Madrid?

So he moved to Elche for around £2 million last summer and has been doing pretty well. Caught a bit of one of their games the other day and he looked good.

The height, physique, mobility, technique and gait. Who does this remind you of ... a pair of strikers at Liverpool perhaps? Or am I imagining things?! [emoji38]

He's been absolutely woeful

Was never fully convinced the few times I saw him for Bournemouth. Zabarnyi always impressed me more, but sounds like he's been a bit shit at PSG too
