Can’t see much PSR impact of selling Trips. Won’t he go really cheap?

At this point clearing his wages is probably the main PSR benefit.

£3-4m in wages. Plus a nominal fee. Add that to possibly Miggy, Dubs and *maybe* Longstaff and the club have cleared the decks for one incoming. Maybe the Lens CB.

Think if Trippier has got things balanced off the pitch and won’t be distracted, we may as well keep him to end of season. If he’s happy to take substantially lower wages, wouldn’t be against a new one year deal as back up to Tino. But if depends if he wants a longer final contract and move either closer to his kids or elsewhere for a fresh start and a final football experience before retiring.

Obviosuly depends who becomes available this month but what do you think their preference is position wise? I guess both R CB and RW need upgrading eventually.

Tough one. We’ve got 3 fit left footed CBs and one right footed. Lascelles out of contract this summer and Schar 33. Obvious position that needs an incoming with no obvious bolter from the under 21s. Spent all summer trying to sign Guehi too.

That said, that RW upgrade has the potential to snare us Champions League…

Agree with all of that

Have to say, as fine as he's been the last couple of games. I want Tino back in for Spurs.

They play a fast paced attacking game and I don't really wana see Son Heung-Min taking the piss out of Trips again. I think Tino will deal with him far better.

Match cam had a shot of him walking off & being substituted. It doesn't usually do that. Wonder if that means anything, or if it was just that we basically did largely fuck all but defend for the last 55 mins of the match so they needed some filler.

Said it before, but if you're going to bring him on just swap him for Tino. Unless Hall is injured, it makes no sense to completely disrupt the defence to accommodate him.

Trippier can only play in games when you are absolutely dominating the ball. He can't run, therefore can't defend.

Mind, Trippier was no worse than Tino or Hall who were also shite today.

Yeah. His legs have fully gone and it is noticeable.

The set pieces were crap across the board. But he also just comes on and immediately starts taking corners and free kicks and they’re rarely any good.

Even at his best he made me nervous defensively. Now it's just terrifying.

Looks like he doesn't trust himself either.

Thought on that last goal they scored that he was going to keep backing off until he ended up in the goal with the ball.
