Scoot
Playing 120 minutes in your second game back is far from ideal, he's going to be rusty and definitely knackered by the end of yesterday's game. To throw him under a bus and write him off because of an error at the end of extra time is a tad extreme.
Lush Vlad
From my POV, I’m not basing my opinion of him on yesterday’s game alone. I think that would be foolish in the extreme to do so. But what I saw was nothing new from him. He has been sluggish ever since his various injuries. He’s not as agile and gets done by simple runs far too often. He’s been slowed by the knee issues and I don’t feel that’s a particularly controversial take. I don’t think he is finished or a bad player. He had some great games in a back 3 earlier this season and in Europe. I just think he has become injury prone and is a good way off his old self. I hope he can stay fit and healthy for a long while now and he can rediscover some form. As it sounds like we’re giving him a new deal. So we need to support and back him. Doctor Zaius
It looks like he doesn't trust his turn of pace/agility. The amount of space he gave Aaronson for his second suggests he doesn't fancy himself getting close to players as he'll not be able to stop them. Same with the Alex Scott goal, though that was a great strike. Maybe he needs a run of games and he'll get back to his best. What he really needs is an injury free period and game time. Still fairly young and has every chance of returning to his old form from a few years ago.
Tsunami
Think it was the Brooks goal and both Tripps and Botman struggled with it.
Lucky
Fitness/sharpness has been his issue with the all the niggling injuries he’s had. It’s quite common for players to pick up injuries like this after the ACL he had. We all know the story there, he’s probably months behind where he should have been if he’d just have had the operation to begin with. Simple fact is if he can find that sharpness he’s our best defender. And at his age could be a long term partner for Thiaw in the centre of defence. It’s way too soon to write him off. Dokko
We've taken advantage there, like we should. Hopefully now he can concentrate on returning to form.

Pilko
Wish I could be a bit more excited about this. It's obviously great that we can retain players who've been consistently linked with a move but his form has been on the slide for a while and his injury record is appalling. Hope he can get back to the player he was earlier on in his stint and just spend a decent period not crocked.
SteV
So you telling me the club hierarchy don’t despise him for being Isak’s mate, and aren’t trying to force him out?
Newcastle Fan
Happy with that, he's a class option to have in the back.
MagMal
I think this will prove to be good business, hopefully he gets through the rest of the season ok and then I can see him been a rock at the back next season.
