Romano’s sources are mainly agents, would suspect the desperation for a Chelsea move is coming from there.

Romano’s sources are mainly other news outlets. He’s just a very clever summariser of transfer news, making it out he’s some kind of ITK.

If I was Digne I’d probably want Chelsea too, but I’m not convinced they are that into Digne with Chilwell on 190k p/w

Chelsea fan at work reckons they’ll bin Chilwell long-term if they get Digne.

I appreciate any reticence he may have in relation to our league position but if, as the reports are saying, he’d rather go and live in london then it says a lot about his mindset and mentality. Swerve.

It doesn’t half feel good being a picky bastard too?

That bid tells me two things:

Digne is at least partially interested in the move.

Longstaff is wanted by Rafa.

It's a move that makes sense for everybody.

Everton get good money.

Longstaff gets Rafa.

Rafa gets rid of a player he doesn't want and a one he knows well.

We get a good player.

Hopefully Rafa is nudging the people above him to send Digne to us.

It might just be installments total £50m this window.  Most transfers are paid over the life over 4/5 years.

Lol come on man 50 million is like 50p compared to their wealth.

If he understands the basic knowledge of football he will be leaps and bounds above the rest of our players.

Rafa started the season strong got the players actually playing football.

Seem to lost direction and having ego issues with manager and players.

Exciting times for toon fans though

I'd much rather have Allan or Doucoure, mind.

Hopefully this is not another story being leaked by someone in the club, similar to the Emery situation etc.

It's slightly worrying that everything we do is "deal in principle confirmed" or leaked prior to it happening. I know with social media nowadays there are always rumours, but this appears to be far too frequent?

Lots of Newcastle rumours at the moment though being linked with every man and his dog. Lazy journalism just because we've tons to spend and need players.
