Translation for those not on Twitter?

We’re aiming to meet their valuation which could be over 100m euros. No mention about the player’s perspective on the move though

Hours that can bring news for transfer. The striker has many options to reach the Premier. Newcastle, under Arab control, is willing to pay what Benfica wants. There is talk of an amount close to 100 million euros. #NUFC

Newcastle today is the one best positioned to take it. The crown prince of Arabia, Bin Salman bets very strongly to put together a team that will fight for the title. The obstacle? They will not have Champions in 2022/23. All this is defined by Jorge Mendes, representative of Núñez.

We only have 50 million budget so not sure how that's possible

Yes please! Easily the most attractive striker option in Europe along with Vlahovic, cut from the same cloth. Would be along the lines of signing Shearer in terms of buying a ready made talent.

Botman would play instead of Burn wouldn’t he?

Not sure about that, if Botman came in I could see us being competent enough to play 3 at the back with advanced wing backs. Botman in the middle and Burn out left which is probably his best position.

If we knew this move was probable it could also explain why the manager would favour Lodi over Targett.

This doesn’t sound like a Howe tactic.

But he was watching A Madrid in his time off who used Trippier and Lodi with three CB

A Madrid play a 4-4-2 tactic not 3 at the back.

They last played 4-4-2 exclusively in 2019/20. They've used three CBs in more than 50% of their games since.

I like the idea of being able to switch between 3 at the back and 4 at the back, do wonder if that is something Howe wants to be able to do as Targett seems like such an obvious signing otherwise.
