Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Recommended Posts

He's going there to be bonafide #9 next season rather than the dovetail option he'd be here, so you can't blame him. This is the issue we've had all summer with strikers that compounds our issue in terms of not being able to pay big wages.

I thought personal terms were agreed? Frankfurt didn't accept our offer and after Liverpool were interested it was game over.

This guy is Tier 1 for French players apparently. Wtf was Manure doing there

Man Utd have lost their minds.

Why sign another striker that wants to drop deep and get involved in play, when you have one you don't know what to do with already, as your manager's setup plays two 10s!

Clubs like ours can only hang in the fight so long on these expensive transfers. Soon enough we have to bail, and the cartel clubs who definitely don't have an unsporting PSR advantage can waltz in and get it done in no time.

Kinda indicates they've given up on Mbuemo.

It’s becoming slightly concerning that the list is growing bigger. The larger picture is not selling Isak but we’ve now missed out on at least 4 forward targets this summer

I am still not writing off this transfer - i think there is a twist still to come. PIF surely have to flex some muscle here.

Nah most sources saying we’ve walked away and stories already coming out about us looking elsewhere like Wissa

It's over for sure. Not losing sleep over it.

Sign a cheaper understudy/option who wants to be here and allocate some of the funds towards paying Isak what he's worth.

I dunno like, I think that criticsm is harsh. We're making ambitious moves for players and I think the likes of Joao Pedro & Ekitike would have been keen on signing for us until Chelsea & Liverpool got involved.

Not sure why ManU would go for him when he said he wants Liverpool. Ekitike’ll take about a millisecond to decide between those two.

Unless it’s Jim posturing in front of his supporters.

I got carried away in all the excitement too but, in the clear light of day, this player has turned us down twice. It’s clear he’s not for us.

The beeb says we’re turning attention to Wissa. With his age and likely role this seems a far more sensible and, by the way, very good option.

Do we? The main threat to us losing our best player, the club we all really don't want him to join, is signing a different player who plays in his position. That's pretty good news?

I think Ekitike would have been an amazing addition alongside Isak and would have strengthened us to the point that we could have been contenders this season to make a real push in Europe and the league. There aren’t many players that fit his profile and are achievable options for us. Just got to hope we get Dibling now

quite telling what the rivals in "Big 6" with no PSR risk doing, we go for Delap they sign him, we go for Pedro they sign him, we go for Ekitike they sign him. (we had some interest for Mbeumo, rags want to get him offering way more in fees and wages than we would have done)

that alongside trying to mess with our top players...

they are shit scared we build a squad that will not just overtake them once in a while each few seasons but we get a regular seat at the top table (= regular CL side with chance to win the league)

honestly wouldnt be surprised if we move onto another attacker and Spurs, or Chelsea or Man U. wil again try to get involved. actually we should engineer some trap and go for a complete shit player and see who bites...

Liverpool fans aren’t too happy they’d convinced themselves they were getting Isak.

All giving it we took your first choice target. Well, we kept yours
