Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

That's pure speculation though? One thing we all know is that clearly nobody knows anything about what's actually happening behind the seasons, yet a bunch of posters on here have decided to jump on the pushed narrative that Liverpool are making some play/bluff etc and ran with it to berate how they operate, but really they may've just had Isak as #1 target, know it's unlikely, thought they'd enquire and make sure on that before spending 80m+ on an unknown quantity which means Isak is no longer an option for them. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that? Just happens we are intertwined in it all.

Not really, it's being pushed by Ornstein, Romano and nigh on every journalist out there that that's the situation. Every tweet makes the point explicitly.

I'd have left a second bid on the table, then gone on to other targets elsewhere in the team. Maybe we are.

Point being, if Liverpool don't get him and Ekitickle is left on the shelf towards the end of the window, unless they genuinely want him Liverpool will have already moved on and Frankfurt's bargaining power dropped massively, especially if they've bought his replacement.

Disappointed to miss out on Ekitike but we look like we are going to keep Isak which is the most important thing, especially knowing that this is likely the case with well over a month left of the transfer market.

Liverpool fans are insufferable on Twitter, thinking that they have 'bullied' us. If anyone has bullied anyone it is us, as we have ensured that they don't get Isak now and probably don't next year even though he was there number one target.

Would love Sesko if that deal is possible, if not maybe someone like Kalimuendo with more money spent elsewhere. I believe in our recruitment and know that we will get it right.

You're allowed to worry all you want though.

But not sure what the benefit is of continuing to post about how worried you are.

Why not just log off and check back in at the end of the window if it's all unsettling you so much?

You've assumed, based on insufficient evidence, that I "worry all I want". I don't. I just look at the objective evidence of our transfer dealings and form positive or negative opinions as appropriate.

The reason I've shared negative opinions more often is that some here (not necessarily you) get very upset if someone shares a negative opinion about some aspect of the current or future state of the club. I push back against that. We can express 'concern' without it meaning the club and everyone in it is a write off.

Which is completely meaningless? Think pretty much everyone is very well aware of how they all operate, one of them puts something out and all the rest just jump on it and retweet, it means literally fuck all :)

Would be funny is Liverpool were forced to walk away now

They will probably wait to see who we bid for next and try and do the same again, constant cock blocking!

There comes a point where there really isn't any smoke without fire. If the two most 'trusted' journos are singing from the same hymn sheet and keep saying the same thing over and over again...

I think the forum in general leans more towards a more negative outlook, and so it can get a bit much once a good number of people are continuously posting about their concerns in much the same manner.

Think it's that more than the concern itself.

Is what it is though I guess.

Up to you mate too believe whatever you want, I personally put extremely little value on anything any of them put out, sure Ornstein seems more credible then the rest, but he still has a job and a purpose, get attention, and I wouldn't ever be so matter of fact on things based on anything any of them say.

We’ve handled this well. Seems like it’s best left to Liverpool now - and we’ve neatly sidestepped more Isak interest very quickly.

Hopefully we move quickly onto our next targets, we have a lot to do in a short time.
