What'd peoples thoughts be if the idea was signing Barella and Tonali because Bruno was going Barcelona, but we wrapped up Maddison and got Raphinha? If players WANT to move that's absolutely fine, as long as the fee received for them is the decent. Change is necessary in a football club and the position we are in now replacing Bruno would be incredibly difficult but, crucially, not impossible. This summer or even next summer isn't the time to be losing players like Bruno, Isak or Botman but that time will come and when it does need to happen it will be sad but ultimately unavoidable. This went through my mind as well, if only because as a club we are going to have to start making money on players, and it could be argued that there is a way to sell players at maximum value and replace them with potentially better if you are smart with your recruitment.
