But you aren't Bruno.  So why are you posting about why he should leave?  It's just defeatism.

Nah defeatism was what we witnessed on the park.

Aye, the entire second half was defeatist.  Doesn't mean we, as fans, should wallow in the same shite.  I'm as pissed off as anyone.  But the fact is we're a massive club with a huge future and we should act like we expect that future.  Not act like victims.

After today's debacle I can see his agent brainwashing him to leave. And I can't blame him.

It would hardly need brainwashing. He’s nearly 29 and I would imagine he will want CL football. If anything, I’d be more surprised if he wanted to stay

Bruno has gone on and on about wanting to be in the club’s history etc, surely he would realise or someone would tell him that it all goes out the window with a move to Man Utd and he’d be roundly despised. I guess he might not care “cos money” etc, but it would seem odd set against the way he seems to go on about it for him (and not his agent) to personally want that move.

Why are we whining about players possibly leaving because of "the media" and "cartels"?  If players leave it's down to the clubs failure. We aren't victims of a conspiracy or a greater power.  We aren't victims at all, stop wallowing FFS.

Surely the Isak saga went some way to proving the opposite? We were extremely successful but the ability of another club to pay him more (this is the 'higher power') meant he left.

Agree, would also argue the way that the media took great pride in stirring the pot didn’t help us. Appreciate that’s their job kind of, but they were definitely influential.

The media were disgraceful last summer. I've stopped watching SkyNews as my form of protest. It's not just us, by the way. Watch how Wharton and Anderson get touted to the cartel.

100% this. The failure to get a João Pedro or Ekitike (also down to clubs being able to pay money) will now result in 2 or so of Hall, Tino, Bruno & Tonali leaving as well. It's fucked up..

Heard it here first*, Bruno will be moving on in the summer. He’s open to Man Utd but might not necessarily be the destination.

He believes he’s gone as far with us as he can, wants regular CL football and his final big payday.

He absolutely will not agitate for a move ala Isak. However, he will encourage one. He’s comfortable if an appropriate offer is not received that he’ll stay with us.

*probably not but if turns out to be accurate I expect to receive an ITK badge or certificate. If I’m wrong, I’ll buy an Eddie Howe t-shirt.

Mixed feelings in that I would be gutted to lose him, but he’s been so good for us I’d be happy for him to get what he wants. Would much prefer it to be abroad if it has to happen. Hopefully it’s one of him and Tonali and not both as that would be huge to replace both.

If he wants to go, then so be it. Just hope he informs the club in plenty of time so we can plan a suitable replacement (if that’s even possible), and start in a strong negotiating position for his sale.

I 100% don’t think he would do an Isak, but we need to avoid over paying for a replacement(s) at the 11th hour (e.g. Wissa).

Just replace him with Miley and get Wharton and Anderson either side.

If you want to paraphrase, “he will leave if a suitable bid is made, wants to leave and will therefore encourage interest and make it likely”, is a much better reflection rather than your effort.

It's probably getting into the last season we get decent money for him and big Joe so may have to sell them. Tonali etc will have high resale next few years still at least. Depends who pushes to go as could see Tonali wanting out now.

I think its pretty clear he is obviously open to a move, don't think he will burn his legacy here and do an Isak but is no smoke without fire and all these reports clearly have some substance to them. He is also no different to any other footballer and one final big payday is something he will obviously want before he retires. It would sum of modern day football perfectly if he ended up at a cartel club because we aren't allowed to pay him the wages he can get at one of them. We still hold the power though and have no reason at all to sell him unless he does an Isak which would be a huge surprise if he did.
