He shouldn't need to though. Let Miley have another 90 mins and keep Bruno fresh for Arsenal. Maybe give him a 20 min run out just to keep his eye in.

Would that not mean Joelinton starts?  Who seemingly still has his usual injury troubles and would end up playing a half or more?  I'd like to see Tonali rested for this more than Bruno, even.  I can't see us going 3 at the back and a midfield 2 again against Bradford.  I expect it'll be a return to the midfield 3.

Manchester City tried to sign Bruno Guimarães this summer!

However, Newcastle and the player rejected the approach, and they signed Tijjani Reijnders instead.

Aye right.

Newcastle United escaped second transfer bombshell after Man City interest

Newcastle United were the subject of an enquiry from Manchester City for Bruno Guimaraes this summer but the conversation was quickly ended with the Brazilian happy on Tyneside

Newcastle United rebuffed an approach from Manchester City this summer for Bruno Guimaraes - but the discussion was quickly dismissed and a prolonged transfer saga was prevented.

The inquiry, understood to have originated from intermediaries within the agent network, emerged in early June during the temporary FIFA transfer window prior to the FIFA Club World Cup. However, Newcastle rejected the interest with Bruno content on Tyneside and willing to discuss future contract talks down the road.

Really his passing was woeful first half man, gave the ball away loads

His willingness sometimes over eagerness to receive the ball and tries to get us moving in an attacking sense cannot be forgotten.

Its not all going to work they were a fairly physical side as well and he was sometimes working in tight spaces.

Not going to argue with your opinion as you were at the game and I was watching on the tele but thought he was excellent.

The treaded ball for osula's first no one else in the side except maybe Murphy in full flow does that.

Lots of players were guilty of losing possession quite a bit; it was just a symptom of our set-up: trying to find gaps and make progress towards the box through the middle areas, rather than having the ball in wide areas, with our wingers isolated and crowded out by a low block.

Bruno was brilliant. Absolutely everywhere and delivered two class assists.

Still unsure why Eddie felt the need to give him the full 90. Obviously the game wasn't as intense as the Pl for him and plenty of recovery time.

Glad Tonali has a complete rest.

Bringing Tino on seemed a strange one for me as well, we have flogged him to death this season, constantly running and more often than not gets the shit kicked out of him.

He's our captain and clearly loves and wants to play. Tonali needed the rest and that left kids or willock as the only fit rotation option. Based on willock this season I am glad Bruno played.

Bruno is awesome. Every player misplaces passes - they're human.

We were clearly trying to pass through the lines of midfield more yesterday, biggest thing we don't do in most league games. Just a bit more risky than passes we're prepared to play in the PL.

Last night was good for his confidence. Nice to see him smiling and enjoying it. He’s our most creative player and has to be handed a certain amount of freedom to try things and that includes misplaced passes and dribbling in to cul-de-sacs once in a while.
