Btw hate these neon yellow Brazilian kits. They won't win anything in that clobber.

Also dislike the neon Red Liverpool kits. The darker red they had a few years ago under Klopp was beautiful.

Brazil 82 was one of the finest kits and arguably their most talented team ever.

That side of Bruno's game is really underrated imo. I reckon I see him play those balls more often than most of the more specialist AM/10s a lot are hankering for.

I said it on my very first post here, it's like he has the triangle button of PES/Fifa with'in his feet

sandro for me leyk.

I would still say Bruno is much better on the ball. He can get out of tight spaces that Sandro wouldn’t even dare to try. Obviously sometimes looks daft when he loses it but no one is perfect. Sandro is better in some ways though, way more athletic and much better striker of the ball. Compliment each other so well.

Seems to be playing well for Brazil

We are lucky we have him. He would absolutely feast in a more possession based side. He's passing is unreal, however he can also do all the out of possession stuff that we see him do every game for us

Proper all rounder (shooting and speed aside 😂

Offered a 5 year contract according to Toon Review

260k/week according to one of the NUFC podcast channels. I turned it off right there, not going to sit through an hour of waffle when they are regurtitating obvious drivel.

Agreed filling up the time and pages on a quiet internationals break. Think its the newcastle world lads reporting Brazilian news outlets.

Doesn't seem to be our immediate contractual concern with botman, tonali and which lads get another 1 year extension pope, kraft and Trips etc to do first. He signed a reported 5 year deal in 2023.

If it was true 5 years with being 28 in November would put him here for most of the remainder of his career? Think hes spoken about going back to play in Brazil.

Might be the man city interest was real and its to head that off?

I'd be happy with him getting a new contract, he's a top player, but just can't be arsed with figures like 260k/week which are obviously just made up. If we could afford that much we would have offered it to Isak. It would blow our wage structure out of the water, unless we think we think PSR is not going to be as much of a consideration in the near future.

Has there been a worse Brazil team? I've heard the one late 80s up to around Italia 90 wasn't much cop, but this is definitely the worst in my memory. I love Joelinton but he shouldn't be getting caps for Brazil, man.

86 team was over reliant on ageing stars like a half injured zico, and socrates.

90 team was shite.

neither team had a decent out and out striker - the 82 team had shite strikers and a shite keeper but was  still class.

Agreed think we may have to either pay up or shut up with some players.

Will see what philosophy the sporting director brings. Howe is known rightly or wrongly never to want to lose from the group. The previous 2 seemed to want to bring our squad age down. You  cant really do both.

Eventually I think we will have to get closer to the 200k for some players not all of them will get the club and accept the less wages on offer here than some clubs. 260k when our current top wage is reportedly 130/150k seems a stretch in terms of believeability.

The one they fielded when 7-0 down at half time to Germany must have been pretty bad. I only remember Fred being their main striker.

I feel like people have been saying this every year since 2010.

We were reportedly willing to go to 200k for Isak, I think that will be the ceiling for our genuine world class players. I would love us to be able to offer more, but that means we will have to be on a level playing field with the cartel, and we aren't there yet.

In 2024 or 2025?
