Definitely going to need to learn to win without him then in the league, otherwise it could be a pretty bleak end to the season.

Did say when he went down, this could end up costing us more than the points we've just gained. Hopefully Miley and Joelinton can come back and help plug the gap, but he'll still be a big miss obviously.

Will probably lead to more experimentation with Nick in the no.10 role I suspect.

Howe needs to prove he can actually win a game without Bruno.

Part of me does wonder if Howe was just being carried by Bruno and Isak

Why stop at Bruno and Isak! Howe has had so many world class talents to choose from. Joelinton, Longstaff Jacob Murphy to name but three. I mean does Howe contribute anything at all? I’m sure Graeme Jones could achieve similar.

Fucking hell, man.

Part of me thinks that Guardiola was just being carried by Messi and Xavi.

Online feels more like:

Newcastle Untied has never won a game without Bruno, not in their 130+ year history.

We've fucking doomed. Until Bruno, we'd never seen 3 points after a game.

Fold the club.

Come on man, after all he has achieved he deserves more respect and recognition than that.

Ok let’s see if he can win a PL game without him then.

I dont have the full list of games we have played without Bruno. Its a game her and there. This is the first time we get to see how we cope without him over time. Maybe we get some positives out of it, or it will be miserable

Won a few the season we stayed up and Bruno had to wait for his chance from the bench.

Howe shouldn’t be exempt from questions and criticism. But that’s a fucking outrageous take.

He hasn’t won a single PL game without him in 4 years, and he’s carried us this season.

I only said id considered it, I think it’s a fair consideration.

I sais for a long time we were too light at CM. We needed another Tonali to rotate effectively with the starting 3 + a Ramsey like player.

Bruno has played a crazy amount of games over the last few years.  He’s another one who we haven’t managers his international load at all. Enzo Fernandes and Gabriel have been rested from squads as an example. Not Bruno G - playing in fucking Japan. Robust as fuck but finally gets his big injury.

Honestly I’m just hoping he’s good for the World Cup.  For his own sake.

“Hasn’t won a single game without him” might be a fact but Bruno’s only missed about 10 games in 4 seasons and we drew half of them ya galoot.

“Eddie’s lost about 5 games in 4 seasons when Bruno hasn’t been playing” doesn’t quite have the same Chicken Little pant pissing effect does it.

How many games has he missed? Is it even a big enough sample size?

Other factors come into it and all. Who were those games against and how did they play out? Who did we have to come in for Bruno? Were we in the middle of another one of our injury crises?

Now if we look like utter shite the next two months and we barely scrape a win. Then fair enough.

Granted we do look worse without him and we have perhaps become too reliant on him to dictate everything. But I don’t think it’s a fair consideration at all. It’s absurd and pretty reductive IMO. You could level that at any manager for daring to have world class players in the squad

Finally, it also totally ignores the fact that Howe played a massive role in making Isak and Bruno the players they are today. Playing their best football of

their careers by miles and actually improving season to season. But now they’re the ones that have carried Howe? Pretty insulting to the rest of the squad, too.

But people like you will grab hold of any stick they can to beat Howe with. So at least you’re consistent.
