If that attitude runs through the squad then they are down. Some people say they are too big to go down, we’ll sometimes having big name players in these situations is why you go down, because they are not up for the fight. It’s easy enough for them to down tools and get a move elsewhere in the summer. They can let their ego get to them, ‘I’m surrounded by shit players’ instead of looking at their own performances. Which fine are errors that lead to goals, but you cant be sitting off Spurs centre backs and centre mids and allow them to play the ball in behind to Kane and Son which your blatantly awful defence being so high up had absolutely no chance of coping with. They were killed all over the pitch. He also blamed injuries. Which again, fine, but absolutely nothing about how wrong Everton were set up today. Some of those players should have been dropped weeks ago too. Theyre in real trouble now. Lampard isnt going to improve players, they're going to have to do so on their own.
