Well proud of us again today. We look a really hard team to break down now, and the game was only won because of some disgraceful refereeing decisions. Roll on Thursday.

They had to throw everything at us, including a bent ref just to sneak out a win. These cunts will get their’s soon enough, cheating wankers.

Heads held high, that was some effort from our second string.

Yup, the elbow really was one of those where either way the decision would be debated. I don't see how anyone could argue that wasn't a penalty.

Such a frustrating game. Not normally one to blame officials but it's hard to look anywhere else today, they were shocking throughout; it's honestly impossible to believe that the officiating in this league isn't corrupt as fuck.

Yeap, I don't believe it was a red but understand those who say it is.

There's absolutely nothing contentious about the pen at all.  It's 100% a pen.

We offered very little going forward but superb defensive performance. Should have been a red card all day long, it's reckless, could have been a lot more serious. You will never see a more blatant penalty turned down. What is the point of VAR they may as well just turn it off.

Just the player he is man. I've said for the longest he is not and never will be a team player. He's an x-factor type.

You can make room for such players in a well functioning team for sure, and so it depends on whether Howe likes him and wants to build a team that can cover his weak spots.

Today I would have brought him on upfront so he wasn't as much of a liability defensively, but hey ho, just a tough loss all around. Should have had a man extra and a penalty too.

His first [I think] contribution was a perfect through-ball for Murphy, who mistimed his run. I took that as a sign that he had come on to play for the team.

Denied a draw we were more than good value for because of 2 key decisions - 1 contenscious, 1 clear as day - going Chelsea's way, and a moment of imperfection in an otherwise flawless display from Dan Burn. Compounded by it being the player who could have easily gone off.

Chelsea were poor and without the top 6 bias from the officials we'd have got another point imo.

Dubravka - 6

Manquillo - 6

Schar - 7.5

Burn - 9.5

Targett - 8

Bruno - 7

Longstaff - 6

Murphy - 6

Wood - 6

Almiron - 6

It was a red, Havertz not only was no where the ball he also had zero hope or out jumping Burn, it was a sly shithouse move and definitely intentional and of course dangerous given the size of lump burn now has.
